This guy looks exactly like the kind of guy that would give you archery tips for shooting a bow in the snow.

Another cool video Jeff. I love how you just thumb your nose at a little snow.

Arron a little snow is nothing compared with the temperatures you have to endure. :-)

Yes the cold really does suck the life out of shooting outdoors here. I tell you once I hit retirement age there will be some traveling to warmer climates for some shooting. I love winter to a point and once that point hits it could just go away!

ok.. got all that... one question... where do you get all the snow. can't find any here in southern California. ;-)

Just head up to the Mammoth Lake region. Looks like they have plenty of snow.

Phew! I thought shooting in the woods here in England was cold, but that's got to be freezing! Must be great having that empty space out there.

Cold rain and wind is much worse then a little fluffy snow any day of the week.

I guess I wouldn't know! Don't get much snow here and I tend not to shoot in the nastier lashing weather anyway - throws your aim off. Not to mention being massively uncomfortable! But hey, looks like you had fun in the snow :) Cheers for reply.

I think you forgot one thing ..... the Saint Bernard with the barrel around the neck. For when your shooting bad and losing arrows!

Greg, Excellent idea! I will try to enlist our dog in the next video. Maybe I could just duct tape a can of beer around her neck. Leif spends most of his spare time Snowboarding and has been little help with videos lately. Except for his cameo appearance today.

And that was a cameo that would make Lars smile, I know it did me! BTW, Took another step today towards shooting like you. When I shoot left handed, I can now touch the string to my eyebrow!

Great video mate. A slight deviation from archery here. Could you let me know where you got your pullover? It looks like a good bit of kit. I like the double layer over the chest. Thanks very much

      Hello Meddice.
      Teresa Asbell wool Mackinaw.
      gfredasbell.com/gfa_wool_clothing.php
It's not as warm as my Boreal shirt by empire canvas, but it's about half the price.
The Boreal shirt is the green shirt on the other videos.
I understand the Teresa Asbell is now making a heavier shirt like the Boreal.
We may have to try one of those for our son next year. :-)

    Use thumb draw
faster and one contact on the string - better. Also side quivers are better. Faster and doesn't hurt your shoulders. Thumb draw is superior to med. draw.

Hello, @stephenjones7090 Excellent idea. When will we see your video on how to use a thumb ring in the snow?

How tall are you, and what size is that wool jacket?

    • @TheNockingPoint

5' 11' I will have to check on the size. What to but it? I have about 4 wool hoodies and have not used this one in a long time.
