Thanx! In dubio of buying the trick or just wait till I can buy the Tarbell course (also on my wishlist) ... Love your ideas on adding it to a lie detector test afterwards, thanks!

I would recommend Tarbell either way, it's a lot more magic -- some of it's dated, but the ideas are great

Hey! Yeah, I actually talk about that in my review (^_^). It's not the same trick in Tarbell, but same principle.

Cool, I figured it out by watching others do it. None of them revealed the secret but it suddenly hit me, mostly because it comes with "dry hands powder" and I was like why would that be?
Ahhhhh then it hit me.. Thanks for the book references, going to check those out. Love watching just to see if I can figure it out more than just knowing the secret. Although sometimes tricks are so amazing that once you know the secret as a magician you're even more amazed at the skill it takes to perform them, and that's where where the real magic comes in. In lots and lots and lots of practice.

Glad you liked it 🙌! And yeah, tricks like this one require real world practice too -- a bit hard to pull this one off in front of a mirror 😅

Hi, I purchased it, but there is no QR code, how can I understand how it works? I don't know how to see the tutorial!! I don't understand how I should use this pencil!!

If you've ordered Heartbeat from Ellusionist, the tutorial and performance videos should be added to your account. If you don't see it on your Orders / Downloads page, you'll want to reach out to E's support.

@@gbabbits I found the tutorial, I wanted to ask 2 things because I didn't understand in the video, obviously without saying anything about the secret, can other pencils also be used? They don't have to be this long but also shorter? Is it important to make the tip or can it also be used How does it come out of the package?

    • @gbabbits

The pencil itself is "special", but you can order them separately since they are just pencils and not actual "magic gimmicks" (not from Ellusionist, but from other pencil retailers).
Out of the box, there's no tip but you'll want to make one (not too sharp though). I think it'll still work without the tip, but that might cause suspicion. Also, I don't think the length of the pencil matters, though you don't want it to be too short.

    Way over priced.

That's why I like to wait for holiday sales and discount codes. I tend to "buy in bulk" towards the end of November every year and save a lot in the process (^_^)

Most non magicians say this. If you’re not planning on performing and adding this to your everyday repertoire. Then ofc it’s overpriced! Why would you invest in it? Lol
