I've been wearing 5.11 Defender Flex Slim pants. I get them when they are on sale. They're pretty good so far. I've had 2 pairs for over a year. My pants don't usually last that long so I can't complain. Got 2 more pairs this year.

Thanks for the tip on the Weatherproofs. 👊🏼 I'm in Houston, so same sticky-balls problem with most "tactical" pants.

Big +1 for the ATG’s. Definitely a fan of the Fjallraven Vida Pro Ventilated pants. They’re expensive but have excellent features and are super rugged. And they take kneepad inserts.

Great video. I think pants are the hardest thing to find. Lol I want something that looks somewhat modern with stretch and not tactical looking. I have some Kuhl, Prana, Viktos and like all those. Need to try the Vertx 2.0. The old vertx I have look like bell bottoms. Lol

I wear the lightweight wranglers. Great deal. Can be found easily for $25 or less. They have an olive green and darker "ranger green" color, on top of a few different shades of khaki. I got one of each.

+1 on the Vertx deltas. I'm around your size only fatter. I usually rock a 36 inch waist, and find that works great for EDC'ing my G43, but have to go up to a 38" waist for a G19 or CZ P10c. I would also look at LAPG BFE pants for range work, especially over the summer, they don't breath as well as others but are durable and lighter weight. I have worn these on long hikes and love them for that, the quality isn't as good as the vertx but if you aren't wearing them all the time, you'll probably be fine.

I didn't like the ATG's at all. Sizing was too long for what my size was, and they cut off part of the main front pockets for looks so I can't fit my big hands or my normal jeans EDC stuff in them. Also, the giant watch pocket is unusable for me. However, the synthetic version fixed most of the flaws and are not as hot. I'm interested to see how they do long term.

I'm not going to say Elite Tribe is "just as good" since I haven't worn then but let's be honest; Crye don't cost nearly $300 just because they're made *THAT* much better than everything else. Just like anything that was adopted by the US military (and everyone else) you're paying a brand tax. Unlike a lot of them, though, Crye is at least not just resting on their laurels are still attempt to improve their gear with each iteration.

I’m more of a relaxed fit and a tad bit baggy pants kinda dude. But to each their own! Vertx delta stretch 2.0 is the sweet spot for me! I didn’t know we could be such divas with pants 😆

I wear the G3 or Field pants on a nearly daily basis for work. Nothing holds up to abuse as well! I've tried some of the Korean knock-offs and they are decent. NOT JUST AS GOOD!...but also not $250. The materials won't last as long but plenty good enough for what most folks will actually do with them. Prometheus Design Werx has some great pants as well and US made. I've been disappointed with the Chinese crafts-child-ship of Tactical Distributors...not worth it. Hard to beat the Wrangler lineup for cheap pants!!

I can drop off a pattern at any asian taylor shop in the neighborhood & have them made fore $50 if I have the material included. Pants being made at a commercial level should be far, far less expensive. Especially from China or Korea.
