After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.

Abigail stars Melissa Barrera (Scream franchise, In the Heights), Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Freaky), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Angus Cloud (Euphoria, North Hollywood) as the kidnappers and Alisha Weir (Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, Darklands) as Abigail.

just watched the movie... 5/10 at most if u are bored. I was skiping hard after 30mins just to see the plot.

From the trailer, it doesn't seem that interesting. It will have comedy, common horror tropes with a touch of 'originality' for the ballerina parts.
Of course no one can know how good a movie is until they see it. My point here is that this is the vibes that I get from the trailer, which will either be proved correct or show that the trailer did not do the movie justice.
if I had to imagine, I think they wanted to go for a gimmicky trailer to gain in peoples interests. similar to Isekai's
