He answered it very well. Because there's no independent written eye-witness accounts doesn't mean it wasn't observed. Or that this man of God didn't answer the question. As much as we'd all like that kind of proof if it existed.

Where biblically does it say the veil was a handbreadth thick? Josephus the Historian said this but that was in his book War book 5:212.
in the old testament, i believe it's in the part of after the exodus...
I think in exodus it tells details of how the temple shall be built
The tabernacle in Exodus is not the same structure during Jesus time in Jerusalem. Matthew 27:51 it describes the size of the veil.
