Been on these trips in so cal for 30 years. The finger tap on the bait tank is something that I have never seen. Absolutely genius! Thanks for the tip!
@@ObiWanJabronee I couldn’t agree more! Mission Belle is an awesome operation. And yes - Karen’s cheesy breakfast burritos are what champions are made of! 🌯💪🏼👏🏼
Looks like a great trip down there...question...will tye deckhands bleed your fish if you ask ? Do you have to bring a separate cooler for that ? Did one trip for rockfish up here in norcal and they weren't bled..just in a burlap sack...tasted like mud or bloody ...or both 😂
@@xxkasperxx This depends on the boat - on the Mission Belle, they automatically bleed your fish for you (yellowtail, tuna, etc.). You can definitely ask the deckhands. MB also has an RSW system that they store the fish in until the end of the trip so it keeps your fish really fresh!
I fish calicos in rocks. My 13yo daughter is 5’3” 100lbs and I’m having a hard time getting her to be aggressive when setting the hook and keeping the line tight. Shes getting bit but she’s losing all her fish.
@@warren6172 I know that traditionally everyone uses J hooks for calicos but maybe your daughter can try circle hooks so she can just reel right into the hook set instead of having to aggressively set the hook. My preferred hooks are circle hooks and they have done me well (including calicos). I’d have her try that and see if it will work better for her! Best of luck to her - so awesome your daughter fishes with you!
@@DancingonWater1203 that’s a great idea to use circle hooks but we are flipping weedless jigs into the rock break wall. I pour my own. Maybe I’ll look into using a Texas rigged circle hook and see if it works,

Nice work! 👏🏼

mission belle is a great boat to fish on, nice low rail and Karen makes the best breakfast burritos in the fleet.

Well narrated, informative video. Your instructive style should help both inexperienced and veteran antlers.
