So I just bought this from guitar center today and for some reason not only will my monitors not make any sound but neither will the subwoofer. What do you think the problem could be? It’s brand new
It sounds like the cords could be plugged in in the wrong order. Try switching the cords that are plugged into the “IN” jack to the “OUT” jack. You want to make sure the cords coming out of the audio interface go to the “IN” jacks on the back of the sub. Then the “OUT” jacks cords should connect to the monitors. If that doesn’t seem to be the problem let me know I’ll try to help you figure it out 🤘🏼🤘🏼
You really helped me out tonight. I was just about to give up and then I came across your tutorial. I’m all set. Will be saving this to my playlist for future reference. Big thanks!
Interesting that the subwoofer 🔊 uses 4 balanced audio cords. I am new to this as this would be what I upgrade my studio monitors to. I would like some classic 8s and the 8.4 woofer. I also have a similar scarlet interface ❤
Nice 👍🏼 yep it’s pretty straight forward if ya think bout it, a left side cord and a right side cord from the left and right output jacks from the interface that then go into the sub, then left side cord and a right side cord from the sub that then go to the left and right speakers🤘🏼
I was waiting for the level test on how you balance your woofer with your speakers, but I guess a video on what cables go where could be useful to someone.
Hello Mitch, thanks for the video I have the same setup and want to link it to my controller ddj400 should I use a focusrite audio interface ? or link directly the subwoofer to my controller with rca ? what would be the difference with the focusrite ? Thank you for your help !
Would be great ! Thanks for your help, I would also be interested to know more about the links chosen and why and in what is the role of the focusrite in the setup, thank you so much !
Question! If I have this exact same setup and I want to add my DDJ-Flx4 controller also to my laptop using a. USB-C cable. Is this also working and could I play my music from it using the program rekordbox and start dJ ing?
If they are all powered monitors and all connected to the correct outputs, I would check the audio settings on your computer. Got to setting/preferences/audio and make sure the option for audio output shows all 4 outputs of the focusrite are selected.
If I’m using a dj controller that has an rca only but two usb c ports can I run a usb c from my controller to the audio interface then run all the trs cables to sub and speakers?
DJ controller rca with 1/4" jack adaptors goes into the audio in of interface for sound. The usb plugs into your computer for the data to be streamed to the controller. And the speaker system is plugged into the audio output of the audio interface.
What is with these krk set up tutorials not showing how to setup the crossover or even explain anything about it but making long videos showing how to plug in a cable nobody needs a guide for that wth is wrong with people 😂
@@whatsmynameagain7774you’d be surprised on how many people this video has helped. Also I’ve made more in depth videos on those sorts of things if you check out my channel 🤘🏼🤘🏼 if there’s something specific you need help on let me know and I can make a vid about it, cheers
I never owned any product From Apple and I never will, but still I was stunned to learn that you cannot even connect a digital audio interface to an Apple computer. WTF is up with that.
Keep justifying your personal preference and bury your head in the sand to the FACT that 90% of the world's professional audio community uses Mac. Do you honestly think we're buying into the brand or could it have something to do with better software reliability and driver stability?
Of course you can. He was using the wrong cable. I’m using usb c to usb c because the interface is a usb c port and so is my mac. Makes sense to use the proper cable.
no you shouldn’t need an audio interface, the mixer should have either XLR outputs or TRS outputs. Just check to see what outputs are on the mixer so you buy the correct set of cables 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Hello, I'm not using a computer at all, just a mixer. So do I still need to get an audio interface to connect my studio monitors to the sub? Thanks
No you don’t need an audio interface, your mixer should have out put jacks that directly connect your speakers
I’m going to have this exact setup just waiting on my sub! Thank you

Newbie question.
If i have a mic too, i will need an another focusrite or just one will help me to control the monitors and the mic?
Sounds like you should only need one 🤘🏼
If I connect my rokit 5 will it be too much power and blow them?
I don’t think that’ll be a problem
You should connect monitors and sub separately ,trust me sounds better and powerful......monitors output 1&2 and sub 3&4
