Make A Flower Using Fluid Acrylics And Paper Napkin ~ Reverse Dip Acrylic Pouring Tutorial
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 май 2024
- Creating a flower using fluid acrylics and a paper napkin through the reverse dip acrylic pouring technique is a fascinating process. It involves pouring layers of colored acrylic paint onto the flower shaped cup, then carefully placing a paper napkin over it and gently lifting to reveal a beautiful, intricate floral design. This method allows for a unique expression of creativity and can result in stunning, lace-like patterns that mimic the delicate structure of a flower. You can experiment with different color combinations to produce a one-of-a-kind piece of art that captures the fluidity and vibrancy of nature.
I will teach this technique in Washington DC in August 2024. Sign up for the lessons, create some beautiful flowers and have some fun with me!

PROCESS:
- Pour your base on canvas
- Put your FLOWER SHAPED DESERT CUP on the canvas with bottom up
- Pour paints on the bottom and use PEARL WHITE or some metallic paints between each colour to create petal - lacing effect
- Take off the cup
- Use SKEWER to draw some petal shapes
- Gently put PAPER NAPKIN or towel on canvas ( You can use dry or damped napkin)
- Lift one corner at the time and then gently lift it (the middle last)
- Torch it for air bubbles and to activate pearl white and metallic paints
- And here is your flower :)
TECHNIQUE: Reverse flower dip with paper napkin, Cup bottom pour
MATERIAL I USED:
- 8x8 inch canvas
- Acrylic paints mixed with pouring medium
- Flower shaped desert cup
- Paper napkin or towel
- Wooden skewer
- Torch

Fiona, this is absolutely gorgeous! And thank you so much for taking the time to share your technique with us. I’m curious as to what kind of torch you use? And is that what is mainly creating the gorgeous cells?
So absolutely gorgeous! Did you say it's your pearl white that makes your cells?
This is beautiful! Have you done ones and then spun them out? That would probably look good too.
Wish I could get to see you! Hugs❤
👍👍💯👏👏👏👏
Muito bonito!
Do you mind sharing your pouring medium and paint consistency? My pours over cups are never this defined. This is a beautiful piece!
I have been watching your videos and I really enjoy your talent that you have it's amazing what you can do just got done watching your video on the napkin the flower I wanted to know I have a three ply napkin will that work.
I wonder what would happen if you sealed off a couple of the edges of the flower cup so that only 4 parts dripped down. It would look like butterfly wings. Then you could do the napkin on it, let it dry and add the body! I think that may be pretty too.
I love this flower. Would like to try but I didn't understand the names of the colors used. Where can I find this information?
I'd like to know if we can do it in paper.
Can u pls send me the link to buy these printed napkins pls
❤🇸🇮🌈🐉
what do you think the perfect napkin is? i use paper towels and it seems like it takes too much paint off. Tried saran wrap too. Do i just need to put down more paint?
btw. You are one of my favorites to watch
Some napkins are two ply.. very thin..
@@frazzledhaloz3184 so is that good or bad?
@@kimkraft5100 paper towels are to thick..
My napkins feel like they have a wax or something... they are not soft... it's so hard to explain. 😳
Gorgeous!
So beautiful
