Thanks Hans for the clear explanation. I use ISO Acoustics Zazen ii platforms below my CD Transport and Turntable. Also use their pods under my standmount speakers. Subtle improvements, but a lot of subtle improvements make a big difference. Sorry to hear Mr. Townshend has passed away 😢. I bought his Townshend Avalon Turntable back in 1988/9 when it first came out. I kept it for 25 years and it worked flawlessly the whole time. He really was a genius. Hope you are keeping well? Kind Regards, Phil
Great way of explaining vibrations in relation to data equipment is retrieving. (With CD data I think we talk about even more data than 44kbits/s - we have 2 channels for stereo and each sample is 16 bits) Keep up the great work! I always look forward to seeing your next episode.
Great video Hans, thanks! One question: If my equipment is resting on a heavy rack, who resides over concrete floor with wood tile over it, Do you think my equipment would benefit from applying isolation devices under them or is it just recommended when your rack just resides over wood floor? Does air transmitted resonances also affect electronics and should be dampened too independently of the floor type?

I don’t know your rack but my guess would be that the sound quality will improve.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel Thank you so much Hans, I appreciate it!
Hi Hans
Can I put them under a 3 cm hight wood block where Rega P10 sit on it , instead of the wall bracket
Thanks in advance
If you weigh the turntable plus wood block and then select the platform for that weight, you sure can.
I always would like to know the cost of the gear
€ 660 to €875 depending on the size.
As soon as you place vibration-producing equipment on springs, it will vibrate more… why is this beneficial?
There not in springs, there on dampers. And it's not the equipment that is producing vibration but what it is standing on (shelf, etc.)
