The back side of that guitar is otherworldly... as they baby got back! Haven't even heard it yet but had to comment anyway. I hope it's sounds as beautiful as it looks.
There are dealer/broker/syndicate-creators that pair Stradivarius violins with promising players. I think Tommy's works merit the same network of support for promising guitarists. Kindly let me know if people agree. I'd ante up in under the right circumstances of craftsmanship, integrity, talent and promise.
Love that it's not a cut-away, muchly. Is the neck satin or gloss finish? Just bought a Fender Ultra Plus with a satin neck and it's sooooooo fast. Why did they discard ebony? Non-black ebony is buttock-clenchingly beautiful. What's the colour spectrum of the studio lights? Are they accurately displaying the glorious walnut finish?
The grey tones in that Claro/Hinds walnut are fabulous, as are the sage pistachio notes in the headstock. So beautiful. Speaking of color, I know you use spalted maple and other spalted woods in your instruments. Have you ever looked into using spalting pigments to color any parts of your guitars? I know of a mycology lab in an American university that extracts pigments from different fungi so they can be applied like a dye to finished wood pieces, and they make them available to people supporting their work on Patreon. (Because that's the state of American educational funding...)
The symmetry of the back is very captivating.. awesome bridge as well. Beautiful!
Thanks Bob!

Hmm... I dig everything about this guitar except for the linoleum. Horses for courses, I suppose.

Just fantasising about how that "pistachio linoleum" (formica?) would look if it were seafoam green...
Not Formica, very different, but I wish I could get it in sea foam! The greatest colour
Will you do a tone wood review on mun ebony?
How about a cedar top?
If you order it, they will come.
