I’m so proud that taryl and crew live in my state 👍👍👍 slippers should make vintage toy restoration channel that would be awesome love watching restoration videos
Ha!!! Everyone Loves Mr. Dactyl and his talented family!!!! That is what taking time out of your days to teach and entertain thousands of people will get you guys!!! Great job!! Leaving a legacy
Eli....all the way from Georgia ! Now that is a grass rat 🐀 fan. Looks like you had a good time. Get to the poles in November, lets try to keep small engines available
I believe you might be right Taryl on the slick 50 thing , I remember back in the day watching demonstrations running Briggs motors with slick 50 added to oil then draining the oil out of them then running them with no oil ------- We call them Ditch Lobster or Mud Bugs down here in Texas .
Kerwin, we need to see some toy restoration videos. Portland was a great show. I went this year because of the past videos. Next time I'm bringing something to ride. Thanks for sharing.
When I was a kid I used to hang out with the neighbor guy his wife was on the city council and I used to put campaign flyers on doors with her. Her husband had a huge vegetable garden and he had a rototiller that had a clutch and multiple gears. I was 11-12, stopped by while he was tilling the garden in the spring and was more then willing to use that thing for free. He was all about it, showed me how to shift and let me go. I remember it had multiple gears beside reverse. I really did not control it it just drug me along. I used to just go hang out all the time there. HE owned a trucking company and used to get to ride in the semi trucks with him as he would run to the scales or go fuel one up. I am 51 not and them days are over. Ya just can't trust people now days. Never once did I ever worry about or have to worry about safety hanging with them people. The 70's and early 80's was a different time.
@3:45 Yes, that was Slick 50's claim to fame. Supposedly, you ran it with the oil, drained the oil and the coating left a protective layer on metal to prevent wear. I think a lot of people thought it was snake oil as the name and claim implies.😂
i never get to go to this show in portland. it always seems to fall on the weekend i work at a swap meet in kimmell, in. we have one on the first saturday in may, june, july and august. this month i picked up two vintage mc culloch chainsaws for $27 for the pair. one is a 640, and i don't know what model the other one is, the aluminum sticker that should tell doesn't look like it's had lettering on it for 30 years, appears to be about a size smaller than the 640 and is covered in oily barn dirt so thick i could barely tell it was yellow. from the looks of them, it's prolly been that long since they were last ran before being left in a barn to collect crud. the original owner prolly got a hernia from toting them out to the woods and running them all day. carrying the two of them to my truck felt like i was carrying a push mower rather than a couple of saws. you'd have had to be one tough sob to run one of them 10 hours, i'll tell you what.
WOOOOOOOO!! It's crazy, Slippers... That little Bishop figure in the box at 23:26 had me going down a rabbit hole of old X-Force related videos and reminiscing. Too bad Marvel went to crap.
I’ll make it to this event one of these years! It’s always the same weekend or the weekend after the Windber Minibike Reunion here in PA that I go to every year, same deal, swap meet and minibikes but Portland is so much bigger and better, I gotta make it out soon! It’s a 6hr drive from me.
Taryl you ever get into the old gamefisher out boards ? I’m down here in southeast Ohio in Amish county and I fixed one for an Amish men. Now I got 20 of them to fix. Trouble finding parts. Would welcome any help you could give. Most Of them have been the Tecumseh motors
I liked the ST 90 , my das bought me one in 1972. for my birthday. It was the same color a line green, it was taken good care of and looked brand new when it was stolen from me in 2002 Ive looked for another ST 90 to replace it ever since it was stolen from me with no luck, maybe I will find one some day.
Our local yearly tractor show went all PC for the snowflakes and limited the driving of motor vehicles to only people who register them ,,or some thing like that?? Cant just drive around anymore.
That wouldn't happen to be the Edgar Wisconsin Steam & gas show ? One year they counted close to 400 motorized vehicles on the Grounds Atvs, garden tractors, scooters, Golf Carts etc. Now they charge $20.oo to use them on the Grounds. Handicap exempt really cut back on the Traffic to make it a bit safer for the Hoards of People walking around. And NO Motorized vehicles in the Flea Market. Mike M Wausau Wi.
I hope to see the Videos of the Model N, I have 2 I need to get running. Carb issues. Holly Crap Teryl !! That is My twin. 05:34 Steve. Tho I keep My Hair trimmed up good. Stach is the same too.. I wonder if he is 62. 6'4", 230 Lbs HAHAAHHAAAH. Thanks Guys.

@3:45 Yes, that was Slick 50's claim to fame.
Supposedly, you ran it with the oil, drained the oil and the coating left a protective layer on metal to prevent wear.
I think a lot of people thought it was snake oil as the name and claim implies.😂

I remember those Slick 50 demos. I used to use it before synthetics became big. Guess it worked, never had to rebuild an engine! 😁
The “Golden Carbatrator” now there’s something you don’t see every day..lol.

I'd love to see Slipper's toy collection
I have an engine similar to the engine with the plexiglass. Mine also has a plexiglass head. hoping to get it running.

Anyone out there ,who has a 1970 Honda CT 70 Blue paint. that needs a good home in need of repair?
Theres a guy on St Augustine florida craigslist that has tons of old honda trails.

Hey tary you have a finger fluid portal bikes he don't turn the turn signal on you turn everybody bikes out of blinker fluid
Question from the UK, why do so many old guys in the US wear white socks?
Are you saying they make other colors?
Probably still wearing them from the 70s/80s, they made things to last back then :)
It's a law or something....
Otherwise you are not eligible for AARP
That building couldn’t be too abandoned. It still has an electric meter….
