This is the last of the Vietnam videos. We toured this area during the preparations for the annual Tet Festival with all the decorations, flowers and people dressed in traditional dress. In the modern city of (Saigon- Ho Chi Minh City) we visited various places that were important during the War with many changes after the US left the country such as the Rex Hotel (home for the foreign press, the Presidential Palace that is now the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the opera house, the War Remnants Museum, the Central Post Office, City Hall, and several temples including the only Hindu Temple and the Quang Duc Pagoda.
We did travel buy various small boats on the Mekong Delta visiting Thanh Tri, a small village and market where they made candies and rice paper food wrappers, and later transferred to a pristine small long paddled boat for 2, and then travelled to a "floating market (Cai Rang)" where all type of goods were sold off an floating island of larger boats. Leaving the water we visited Can Tho with incredible markets and amazing motorcycle traffic. Back to Ho Chi Minh to walk the modern city of sky scrapers and busy commerce.
