Lunch at Taste of Kerala restaurant

Hi folks, Bhawani and I had some work at Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus(CSMT, formerly VT), and we thought that we'd lunch at Taste of Kerala restaurant as we had eaten here once earlier and the food was very good. It's traditional Kerala food, both Veg and Non-veg. They serve red water, which is prepared according to Ayurvedic principles and is warm, almost hot. Hot water on a very hot summer day ? I think the fact that we ate in the air conditioned section helped. It felt a little weird in the beginning, but after a few sips I started liking the hot red water. The food was very tasty as well. And then there was the pal adai payasam( milk based sweet dish with small pieces of rice cakes) which was complimentary. Then there were the accompaniments, raw pumpkin pachadi, tir molagai(literally curds chilly) puli inji(literally tamarind ginger) and lemon pickle. We liked the puli inji so much that we took some home too ! It is a great restaurant, tasty Kerala fare, do check it out if you are in Fort or around CSMT. Thanks folks. Bye.
