I was late to the Ghost party too, also in 2022. It was 'Call Me Little Sunshine', too, that captured me from first listen: my cousin wanted me to play on his album and played it to me as an example of guitar tone (we never did do the album!). I have even covered CMLS now.
Ghost's catalogue is astonishing. As an old rocker (I'm 64), I had given up being a true fan of anyone ever again. Just the occasional lover of this and that. Not anymore, I'm officially hooked to this band, act, project, whatever you want to call it.
On the album, I had a similar ambivalent opinion about Twenties as Jammo, but I am coming round to it. I totally love Darkness. I love its mood. Its duality. Its melancholy. I agree on all other points. Impera is just wonderful.
Also... I just recently had the most amazing experience. I went to the premiere cinema in London on Tuesday (18 June), where they were showing the new Ghost movie 'Rite Here Rite Now' before its official release today. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of Tobias Forge or Alex Ross Perry, (director) and was put onto a fan list, I wasn't sure what for.
Somehow, and I'm still reeling from this, I got a free ticket to the film premiere itself, and I saw the film with 31 other gobsmacked fans (as well as the usual press, etc.). I also attended the Q&A session afterwards. I can promise you, it's a truly *stunning* film. I think Tobias is a genius.

Brilliant - welcome on board and thanks for the sub! I’ve got tickets for the movie on Sunday - can’t wait! Lucky you getting to see the premiere - how did you get on the list?

@@talesfromthepowerage I turned up early, hoping just to get a look, and the bouncer said to us, 'go see the lady over there, ask to go on the list'. I was no. 17 out of 32. I didn't even know what I was signing up for!

Duuuude! This party I was at before you lol. Saw them at Sonisphere Madrid in 2012. Was actually side of stage standing beside James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich who were massive fans. That’s another story! Their first album was brilliant but the second one wasn’t. Never really got back on to them, partly due to the singer throwing the rest of the band under the bus, which just gives me bad vibes. Still the live experience is undeniably awesome.

I found Ghost because I heard an advertisement for them appearing in a local club between their second & third album. I thought the name was intriguing. My son said I wouldn't like them because they were Satanic. That got me curious, so I looked them up on RUclips and fell in love. Meloria came out. My son explained the lawsuit to me, which was a bit confusing. I know more about it now. We've seen two of their Rituals now. I'm a bigger fan of Ghost than my son, so I have a ton of Ghost tees because my son gave me his. He also 'complains' I live in my Ghost tees. I'm looking forward to the movie in two weeks. Oh, I also collect Ghost pins. I need some of their older pin sets, too.

Didn't get to see Ghost on this cycle, but when they played Cardiff in 2019, the guitarists acknowledged Wales by playing several bars of Motorcycle Emptiness by the Manics.
I came across Ghost in between the first two albums; Opus Eponymous is a classic album but they're a different band now (not that I say it's a bad thing). Also, I'm surprised that you fellas missed the influence of Alesiter Crowley on this particular album - the pose of Papa on the artwork and Little Sunshine, whom the beast called himself in court.

Brilliant - well done to catch them early. Respect. You’re totally right, they change with every passing album and for the most part, for the better IMO. Off to see the movie next - be very interesting!!
