Raising chickens for meat

Raising chickens for meat takes more work in the fall/winter then in warmer seasons. Live and learn, next year this will be done late summer early fall. This is an update on our meat birds and a quick shot of our new layers.

Have you ever thought of raising meat yourself? At firs I thought I couldn't do it but I amazing myself and here we are doing it again. Once you taste the meat from birds you raise you'll never go back to store bought.
