Been watching you since the beginning A-aron and am rooting for you but I think you need to go to therapy. Not meant as a burn, meant in that you deserve to grow and heal but you can’t do all of that alone here in front of a camera. You would really benefit from having a safe place to sort things out. Just because you’re ready to do some work doesn’t mean that those you have hurt are ready to be a part of your process. Please talk with a trauma informed therapist.
I agree, everyone can benefit from therapy. But what I find interesting is that Aaron frequently engages in self reflection in his videos. Yet, others who go to therapy seemingly daily, and have had intensive treatments do nothing but criticize other people, with zero self reflection, and diagnosing others without any credentials. I'm not saying this is proof that psychiatric help is detrimental. But it does show how valuable it is to find a therapist who challenges you, and actually become engaged in the process. In fact, if you are someone who is willing to engage in self reflection, and find a good therapist, there is wonderful potential for growth. All I'm a saying is... I feel like "going to therapy" has become this moralistic thing. Good people go, bad people don't.
Yes, but because you sat down quietly Aaron & were always able to "think" your way out of dilemmas when you were in the cult does NOT mean that you can always do that, or do that now. Like you said, you can't see your own blind spots. Other's perspectives are VERY valuable. You can't get out of seeing from your own perspective in the same way that you sometimes can't smell your own stink. A disinterested, experienced 3rd party should be able to offer you excellent advice. There's a reason therapists exist.

Anesthesia can cause memory loss, so it is not strange that she claims not to remember the phone call. Let's believe her, as we do the victims of Danny who were unknowingly drugged. She consented to stronger medication for surgery, so we know she was still impaired. Saying "but she claims she doesn't remember" feels like you believe she does remember and is being deceptive about it. Also, if it was such a great conversation, why not wait a couple of days for further conversations once she had recovered from her surgery? Even if she remembered, wouldn't it be confusing for her when you made that video, which both of you knew included her as a creator doing what you spoke against? It is impossible to simply resume where you left off after such harsh words have been exchanged. There must be conversations about the inflicted pain. No matter if it is intentionally or unintentionally caused, the pain is real and needs to be acknowledged.

It makes my heart break when we get to see that so many ex cult members continue to hurt from the damage done by the Cult. There is still so much pain. Time is limited for all of us. For me I have made a conscious decision to live my life with openness and integrity and leave myself open for opportunities for honest forgiveness from those i have hurt and those I felt hurt me. Drama equals bitterness and resentment which we have too much in the world around us. The focus must be on the large things that matter and can happen, such as the destruction of the Cult in this case. Evil happens when good people do nothing.

This is so very responsible of you to share this insight you've had about blind spots and the Scientological training coming through. I've been saying for a while that Scientology has done this. Years and years of brain scrubbing of the members has created very specific behaviors. It is what has allowed the community to be infiltrated and controlled as it has been. Anyways, I'm glad you're having these realizations, I hope the light comes on for so many others.

You can’t pick up where you left off. There’s too much that’s gone on. What you can do is draw a line under it and start fresh, rebuild the trust over time and get to a better place in the long run.
You have to consider that she is not incentivized to make peace with you. Her vitriol against you is paying her bills. How she rationalizes her choices is her business, but getting rewarded for any behavior is powerful. Takes a big person to evaluate a reward and ask themselves "at what cost." Maybe that's something she can't do. It's not a Nora thing. It is a human thing. Anyone can slide into that slot.

I had a pretty bitter falling out with a lifelong family friend earlier this year, over some seriously messed up stuff. We don't talk to each other anymore. That's it. No scorched earth campaigns to ruin each other's lives, no demanding that mutual friends cut the other one off. People can dislike each other, and be open about it, without going to war.
The other problem, is when bad things are said back and forth, I would bet some of those things will be taken out of context, and show up on some CO$ web sites. For example, I could see them adding a part to the "Aaron hate site", saying "...even X Scientologist Nora said XYZ about Aaron..."

Firstly, Narcissistic personality disorder is a clinical condition that is normally diagnosed by a medical practitioner. However, it's been continually misused online as a byword for "evil" or "irredeemable." Clinical terms should not be weaponized in this manner.

I 100% agree with everything that you have said in this video. However, the one thing that has caused Natalie to be attacked is that she talks about how neutral she is. I think the best approach for you, Natalie, and everyone else in the anti-Scientology world is to just do your thing and not even acknowledge the drama. Over time, the drama creators begin to look foolish when what they are doing and saying is getting no attention from the people they are constantly attacking. I was raised in a cult, Southern Baptist who followed the IBLT these people live to make under aged girls marry and I. 1978 I was basically FORCED TO GET MARRIED at the age if 16 to a 20 year old emotionally bankrupt and developed mentally disabled MAMAS BOY! In the state of Florida! I spent the 20 years of my life trying to bring my mother into counseling to heal our family. When all my efforts fell on deaf ears and cold hearts I walked away, Fast forward to 2017 my mother called me out of the blue trying to make me feel guilty for her shit. I told her I forgive you but I will not come back and let you slam my hand in a car door again.

I am not intending to pour anymore gas on anything, but i can say with certainty that my dad would have loved to have a foundation to help when he was disfellowshipped as a jehovah witness. It frustrates me that they complain about any foundation there to help. Also, what you said about former scientologists being needed to understand how a scientologist trying to leave needs help is important. It is the same way addicts find it easier to talk to former addicts.

It reminds me.of when alcoholics are 'dry' instead of sober. Some ex scientologists are out but not sober from the cult's 'protocols'. Many are still drunk on bad, bad cult coping skills and toxic interactions with others.

She might be honest when she says she doesn’t remember or only partially remembers due to her procedure and medication. Okay. But, her wife was present for the conversation. Why doesn't she say, "but this is what my wife told me...." I suspect her wife (and children) are guiding her down a negative path. Perhaps the vitriol pays much better than the pleasantries. It has been my experience that anger has robbed me of my health in the past. I no longer have time or patience for it and avoid it in my life, the materials I read and the videos/movies that I watch.

If that's true, I learned something a while back that was very relevant for me. And that is, when we get angry, there's a certain part of brain that gets more active... and that's the same part of the brain that lacks activity normally, so getting angry can literally feel good. Been watching you since the beginning A-aron and am rooting for you but I think you need to go to therapy. Not meant as a burn, meant in that you deserve to grow and heal but you can’t do all of that alone here in front of a camera. You would really benefit from having a safe place to sort things out. Just because you’re ready to do some work doesn’t mean that those you have hurt are ready to be a part of your process. Please talk with a trauma informed therapist.
I agree, everyone can benefit from therapy. But what I find interesting is that Aaron frequently engages in self reflection in his videos. Yet, others who go to therapy seemingly daily, and have had intensive treatments do nothing but criticize other people, with zero self reflection, and diagnosing others without any credentials.
I'm not saying this is proof that psychiatric help is detrimental. But it does show how valuable it is to find a therapist who challenges you, and actually become engaged in the process.
In fact, if you are someone who is willing to engage in self reflection, and find a good therapist, there is wonderful potential for growth.

A disinterested, experienced 3rd party should be able to offer you excellent advice. There's a reason therapists exist.

Anesthesia can cause memory loss, so it is not strange that she claims not to remember the phone call. Let's believe her, as we do the victims of Danny who were unknowingly drugged. She consented to stronger medication for surgery, so we know she was still impaired. Saying "but she claims she doesn't remember" feels like you believe she does remember and is being deceptive about it. Also, if it was such a great conversation, why not wait a couple of days for further conversations once she had recovered from her surgery? Even if she remembered, wouldn't it be confusing for her when you made that video, which both of you knew included her as a creator doing what you spoke against?
It is impossible to simply resume where you left off after such harsh words have been exchanged. There must be conversations about the inflicted pain. No matter if it is intentionally or unintentionally caused, the pain is real and needs to be acknowledged.

It makes my heart break when we get to see that so many ex cult members continue to hurt from the damage done by the Cult. There is still so much pain. Time is limited for all of us. For me I have made a conscious decision to live my life with openness and integrity and leave myself open for opportunities for honest forgiveness from those i have hurt and those I felt hurt me. Drama equals bitterness and resentment which we have too much in the world around us. The focus must be on the large things that matter and can happen, such as the destruction of the Cult in this case. Evil happens when good people do nothing.

This is so very responsible of you to share this insight you've had about blind spots and the Scientological training coming through. I've been saying for a while that Scientology has done this. Years and years of brain scrubbing of the members has created very specific behaviors. It is what has allowed the community to be infiltrated and controlled as it has been. You can’t pick up where you left off. There’s too much that’s gone on. What you can do is draw a line under it and start fresh, rebuild the trust over time and get to a better place in the long run.
You have to consider that she is not incentivized to make peace with you. Her vitriol against you is paying her bills. How she rationalizes her choices is her business, but getting rewarded for any behavior is powerful. Takes a big person to evaluate a reward and ask themselves "at what cost." Maybe that's something she can't do. It's not a Nora thing. It is a human thing. Anyone can slide into that slot.

Firstly, Narcissistic personality disorder is a clinical condition that is normally diagnosed by a medical practitioner. However, it's been continually misused online as a byword for "evil" or "irredeemable." Clinical terms should not be weaponized in this manner.

I 100% agree with everything that you have said in this video. However, the one thing that has caused Natalie to be attacked is that she talks about how neutral she is. I think the best approach for you, Natalie, and everyone else in the anti-Scientology world is to just do your thing and not even acknowledge the drama. I was raised in a cult, Southern Baptist who followed the IBLT these people live to make under aged girls marry and I. 1978 I was basically FORCED TO GET MARRIED at the age if 16 to a 20 year old emotionally bankrupt and developed mentally disabled MAMAS BOY! In the state of Florida! I spent the 20 years of my life trying to bring my mother into counseling to heal our family. When all my efforts fell on deaf ears and cold hearts I walked away, Fast forward to 2017 my mother called me out of the blue trying to make me feel guilty for her shit. I told her I forgive you but I will not come back and let you slam my hand in a car door again.
Keep making the effort. Even if Nora or Scott never come around it will change you for the better.

I am not intending to pour anymore gas on anything, but i can say with certainty that my dad would have loved to have a foundation to help when he was disfellowshipped as a jehovah witness. It frustrates me that they complain about any foundation there to help.
Also, what you said about former scientologists being needed to understand how a scientologist trying to leave needs help is important. It is the same way addicts find it easier to talk to former addicts.
Aaron, approaching people who are dedicated to marring your reputation is a smart thing to do regardless of the reason. If self reflection is one of those reasons, that’s wonderful and I truly hope that you get a therapist to help you see and work through some of the blind spots recognizable in this video. I also hope that Nora continues on her therapy journey - she obviously has serious mental health struggles, which she has conceded multiple times. I wish you both the very best.

The thing is when two people have a beef they do not need an army on both sides egging them on. Imo if someone needs an army to prop them up it is usually time for them to rethink their position. Not everyone on your side is on your side. People need to be left alone to work things out or not without all of the outside rhetoric no matter how public their problems become..

It reminds me.of when alcoholics are 'dry' instead of sober. Some ex scientologists are out but not sober from the cult's 'protocols'. Many are still drunk on bad, bad cult coping skills and toxic interactions with others.

I've always found your conversation with Nora to be a curious situation. She might be honest when she says she doesn’t remember or only partially remembers due to her procedure and medication. Okay. But, her wife was present for the conversation. Why doesn't she say, "but this is what my wife told me...."
I suspect her wife (and children) are guiding her down a negative path. Perhaps the vitriol pays much better than the pleasantries. It has been my experience that anger has robbed me of my health in the past. I no longer have time or patience for it and avoid it in my life, the materials I read and the videos/movies that I watch.

If that's true, I learned something a while back that was very relevant for me. And that is, when we get angry, there's a certain part of brain that gets more active... and that's the same part of the brain that lacks activity normally, so getting angry can literally feel good. I know it sounds like an oxy-moron... but it's real and very destructive.
