It's like the Fender Stratocaster. It's a great guitar, but Fender is never going to give you exactly what you want, and that is all because of the marketing. You keep having to buy more watches to try to get closer, but they are not going to let you get there.
@A. B. But extending the polishing to the centre bar of the deployment clasp is really overdoing it, because first movement of the left arm on any surface will invariably rub the clasp and cause scratches, and second no one will look at the clasp surface except for the wearer.
It changes color in different light. From dark dark blue almost black to a very slight dark plum tint in bright sunlight. In the watchbox next to a 16710 it is very matte blue and the red is slightly darker than the aluminum bezel
You raised a really good point. Keep in mind, the bulk of the damages and scratches occur on the clasp. I’ve had a protective film layer (professionally done) taped on the clasp on the day I bought the watch. Twice per year, I have it redone and it looks as good as new. I’ve had this done to all 4 of my Rolex sports watches. IMO, it’s the only way to go.
When GS gets their case sizes, bracelets, and clasps situated...maybe! You're not suggesting spending $40K on a GS are you, cause that's just bloody crazy...
@@MrThehardway They have many new sizes. I just bought 2 around the$7000 mark and a limited to 10 pcs at $30K. I can promise you the finishing and the movements are nothing less or perhaps better than Patek at 4 times the price. Give GS a chance and get a $5000 watch
@I Nobody is a lot of people, but those rattlesnakes go back to the 1950s, and were retired over a decade ago...while the OP is ridiculously overprice, calling it crap blah blah blah implies you know little about watches...
You manage to eliminate any doubt when pulling the trigger on a watch. Highly knowledgeable and no nonsense.
Just purchased it absolutely beautiful watch

Great review Tim as usual...could this beauty find a home in the Musso collection??!?
I love this watch but I think it would look better without the polished center links
Then it would look as bland as a Hulk bracelet.

What years were the black face on a white gold watch made please?
Is the blue of the bezel and the dial the same?
how would you clean this watch- I use a toothbrush on my submariner, could you use a toothbrush on this white gold? or would it scratch the finish?
You know how you clean it? Don’t wear it!😂
@@mrp9498 oh great a comedian
use a horse hair brush gently and you should be fine.
Best review of this watch on RUclips. Bought this watch today because of this review.
did you pay MRSP?
What are the small dots or engravings near the corners on the back of this watch?
Rolex markings stating the gold content 750 AU meaning 18k gold.
I know this is an old comment, but I figured I might as well say it lol.
I think if I was rich I’d want to get every GMT. I love them all
Nice watch, but big mistake to use polished centrelinks.

A coke white gold with ceramic bazel would be my dream gmt
Why buying steel if you can have gold?
Is it just me or does the bezel and face look more black than blue?

What’s the weight ?
Around 228 grams
The best watch
Hi Tim, it's a website that it's using your videos to sell replicas.
My favourite watch 👍
Beautiful ROLEX 👑 💖
Beautiful watch. I had one ☝️ BUT A SCRATCH
MAGNET and sold it because of it !! The clasp especially.
Nice video mate.
Really? That bad?
@@KR-dn7xd white gold is softer than 904 steel, so yes. That bad.
🙄
Getting it this Thursday. First thing I will do is to professionally tape on a protective film on the clasp.

Is this piece available below retail?
Got mine 2 days ago for about 6% off MSRP.
Nah, the blue dial emphasizes the purple of the bezel. Two colors that don’t go well together IMO. I much prefer the meteorite dial variation.
Best Pepsi ever.
That exactly why I went with the blue bezel. More low keyed.
I like the idea of the meteorite dial, but it just looks so tacky imo
$44,950 / £34,752.
Can get brand new for $1200 less! Watchbox have got really expensive
Good luck finding it for retail lol
@@aheroforeternity - it is on chorno24. No luck needed, just a bit of savy pal.
@@johnholland2825 buy the seller. i'd never purchase from chrono24 personally.
@@aheroforeternity - WHY?
@A. B. - shops!
It’s massive but not big - WHAT
Massive as in heavy
Love it but trust me buy Grand Seiko instead

@@kennydrolet Bad Apple. enlarge any Rolex by 10 times and i promise you 90% have major issues. Also compare prices
Is this a sleeper ?
Depends. It’s expensive. Usually cheaper models appreciate more. But this is more rare for sure than a regular steel Pepsi.
Tired of hearing about the Rolex Pepsi.
Meh
Do you have to be such a used car salesman? Like ease up on it brother.
