Finally someone does a season highlight reel lol. Love this kid. He definitely could make it big in the NFL. I do wish they let him throw it more but oh well. That throw to Wilson in the Ohio State game was my favorite by far.

@@Hxnry21 They need him. Drake Maye might be the best QB in this draft. There's a lot of good ones for them to hopefully pick from. I think the Lions need one too but idk if they'll get one. If JJ falls to the end of the 1st then maybe. But Detroit needs D-line help in a bad way.

@klow335 That would be a great pick for them. Now I'm thinking Michael Penix is the best QB lol. I think if Michigan's scheme was more like Washington's, JJ might be considered the best. He is actually leading the nation in some QB statistics.

He makes all the little NFL throws you gotta make, he’s extremely accurate in tight windows as his receivers don’t get a ton of separation. I wish we had a 1st receiver talent like Oduze or MHJ. He woulda gone off with one of them
My Chicago Bears might make that happen. We could easily draft MHJ then McCarthy with our current draft picks. If so, it might even be our intention to sway Harbaugh to eventually coach our Bears.
@@TheRealFlash23 nah bears is where QBs go to die no offense, and I doubt Harbaugh would go there. Bears have fields, he’s a solid QB when he had a good team around him. I do see JJ likely following where Jim goes tho

J.J. McCarthy was part of the National Championship squad for Michigan. This kid is only 21 years old and he’s a junior. He had a solid year as he finished 2,991 yards, 22 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. He is definitely a first round prospect in this draft class.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
I really like his tape. The most important thing that a qb must do is more fundamental than anything. That thing my fellow highlight watchers is setting your feet. In every highlight of him getting rid of the ball, his throwing mechanics really stand out. The Falcons could use that type of player to where you don’t have to coach them up on the basic fundamentals vs waiting on the fundamentals to catch up to the talent. That’s why I think CJ Stroud excelled this year vs his fellow an in his class

J.J. McCarthy certainly beat Ohio State then he beat Iowa in the Big Ten Championship game so now he'll win Heisman Trophy in New York for the Ceremony because Michigan is now the #1 team in CFP

@@nml2266 Respectfully disagree. Think they’re def going to trade Fields, who is already almost 25, needs a new contract next Summer, and will likely never be a top-10 QB in the league. They don’t want to pay him big money (remember Chicago’s current GM didn’t draft Fields so they have no allegiance to him). - Think they’d rather take the younger, more talented QB in Caleb with bigger upside and have him on a Rookie deal the next 4 years. That’s my opinion. Either way, I think McCarthy and Michigan are going to struggle against Bama’s D in the Rose Bowl and that’s going to hurt his stock a bit. Could even see him returning to Michigan for another season. We’ll see. Falcons def need a QB though, and will likely draft one in the 1st Round if they don’t trade for Fields.
@@bballer191 I definitely get where you’re coming from on the Fields part. Personally I think they take Jayden over Caleb (I think it’s a similar situation to Baker going number 1) if they do go qb. But I also think if they keep Fields and extend him, they can extend him cheaply like the Packers did with Jordan Love. I think McCarthy will play good against Bama. He’s faced tougher defenses than this before and has had good games but we’ll have to see. My dream scenario tbh would be trade Ridder for like a 7th rounder, sign Cousins in FA and draft JJ or Bo or Penix (truly fine with either of those 3) and let Cousins mentor under a new head coach (hopefully Ben Johnson or Bobby Swolik)
@@nml2266 Funny, I was thinking the Falcons should sign Kirk Cousins in Free Agency too, although I’m not sure he’s even going to be ready for the start of the 2024 Season due to his Achilles tear. Ryan Tannehill is another Veteran option at QB too. Cutting Heineke and designating Ridder to Backup QB would save them $7M in cap space however, so there’s a good chance they just do that. I think they’re going to target a WR2 in Free Agency or draft one in the Second Round. They also need to add another edge-rusher and a CB2 this off-season. So they have work to do. Can’t wait for the draft though, always an exciting weekend. 💯

It looks really bad and did "live" as well, but under replay he's still on the line when he throws it which is within the letter of the rule.

JJ is a little inconsistent but whenever he gets it going hes a top 10 qb i definitely hell get drafted next year
If he's so inconsistent, then why does he win more games than ANY other QB in this QB deep draft class? I think his lack of great WRs is the only thing holding him back at all.

Arm talent isn’t GREAT. But his mechanics and his footwork are good. Hes ready to start day 1 in the NFL with the right team.
I don't know what you're watching, but this dude has a gun. If you don't believe me... Google what some draft scouting reports have to say. And his mechanics, while not bad, aren't top level either. He has a tendency to be a fastball pitcher. Needs to work on his touch. I really like him but another year would be good for him. That being said, I wouldn't turn down qb 4 first round money either maybe. Next year he could be qb 1 or 2 though.
His mechanics are a project. His release is kinda weak sauce. Pro DBs would eat him alive
