My 98 has a Z06 titanium cat back but yours is twice as loud.
When you’re shifting hard like that, do you get on the gas first before letting out the clutch or is it done simultaneously? Sick driving
In that video yes, I kicked the clutch down and pressed the gas pedal then let off the clutch. It’s harder to control when you’ve got a lot of power like in that corvette but we do it all the time on the back roads. Letting off the clutch while pressing down the gas simultaneously makes for a much smoother transition between gears and a smoother ride but having the gas down while working the clutch fast helps maintain the rpms . The downside to power shifting like that is that when you dump that clutch at bigger rpm’s you’re more likely to start spinning and get sideways or lose control. We were spinning tires a lot in the first two gears and finally catching traction on 3rd in that clip.

Curious if you have done any 0-60 and qtr. mile times? Man I'm impressed. I have a '98 Trans Am with a stock LS1/ auto with 3.23 gears and it is pretty quick for stock

Yeah, Idk about the hand position, but a lot of the car moving around is you moving your hand when you shift.

@leartjahiu572 few reasons... first time driving the car, brand new staged clutch installed that morning, 35mph road (see sign on right) and nobody was racing. Just playing around in the car.
He can't drive a manual well is the real reason.

And for my next video, we'll be dropping the transaxle and torque tube to replace driveshaft couplers, driveshaft, clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's really cool how you pop the clutch in every shift. Did someone teach you that technique or did you manage to figure that out by yourself?
Had a freshly installed stage 3 clutch in it so there was no point in not popping the clutch .
What does that even mean? LMAO he was literally just rowing through the gear and letting off the gas between, not even power shifting. Which a t56 trans and c5 drive line could hold up to just fine anyways.
My ‘72 C10 w/big block would gap this car bigly!!! And it weighs 4500 lbs.

just put fresh clutch and new gears under it that morning so the speedo was way off calibration. Pretty sure it was over 100, kids on the roadside up ahead so we had to come out of it
