    Having run one 100-mile road ultramarathon, the concept behind the brand makes sense. You want a geometry that will work consistently at lower speeds. The R1 and S1 aren’t rockered, which is helpful for those of us who enjoy more natural footstrike placement over very long distances to save the feet, legs and especially knees. Exciting to see a company not just lard everything with bottomless foam! Appreciate your review and am ordering.

    The double-lacing system dates back to Kaepa (brand), which used to be a lot more popular than it is currently (early 80's era).
    This shoe looks very clean. Regarding the click... who doesn't want to get their stride and pace correct via the accompaniment of a metronome?
    Thanks for covering the shoe. It's an interesting entry into the mix.

    Judging from the clicking sound, I assume this is a STABLE shoe. 🐴

    If you consider the durability and how comfortable is the shoe (based on the review) it seems that one can also use it as a daily trainer (according to their website they can go up to 850 miles, I mean if a regular runner puts 43 miles a week that means that one shoe can last for 1+ years with a daily usage and that is impressive and for 160 usd 🤯

    I can see the reason for an ultra road shoe, I took the old hoka X2 over 33 miles and that was very good for that run at 8:30 all 30-50 miles (7-10minute miles depending on fitness)

    The head of product is coming from Brooks and Nike.. I’m curious to try this brand (if the toe box is wide enough for my wide feet)

    If these are built for long runs and ultras, there's got to be longevity built into them too, right? The opposite of a Hoka?

    • @Believeintherun
      @Believeintherun  6 месяцев назад +1

      That's the idea. They did just have a dude run 600 miles in one pair during as stage race last week. He used the S1, but it's fairly similar.

      I have a pair. I think they are really nice but a bit too firm for me for running actually. I love rocking them casually though.

    Sooo… any good for sub-ultras? Is it a decent marathon race shoe if you don’t want a plated shoe?

    Not gonna lie, I'm not a fan of shoes that "click"...... something about clicking and running smoothly during a road ultramarathon just doesn't make sense to me. But maybe it's a soft, exact, Rolex-like "click"........ hmm.

    Pretty useless video to be honest. The question at 9:00 not having an answer leaves me with as much information as I had before watching it 🤷‍♂️
