I remember when the hobby seemed to be fading away and model car companies were hurting and I honestly believe that Round2 saved our hobby so THANK YOU to Round2 for what you have done for the hobby.
I’m so happy that Round 2 is rereleasing all those old kits!! I hear people complaining about flash and crap, but you gotta admit, that’s it’s so awesome to see them all again!
thats why we have tools to cut out the flash, simple.i have never complained about flash, hey sometimes you get a kit with no flash and sometimes you do, alot of cry babies out there, suck it up and get out your tools.
All hail Cody and Hurtlocker. The mightiest and bestest model builders in the world. For they are right, and nobody is entitled to their own opinion or allowed to tell Round2 what they'd like to see improved upon or retooled. Speaking of tools, Cody and Hurtlocker dont need retooling because they are the epitome of being tools.
My very first car kit I built (or tried to build) was the AMT 1961 Plymouth Valiant. I am 72 years old. Bring it back and make an old man happy! Great vid Chris as always. Keep up the good work.
Chris,Thanks for this very informative video! I'm sure I'm not the only guy asking for reissues of the MPC 1968, 69, 71 and 72 Chevrolet Impalas! Thanks for listening!
I’d love to see Round2 release some of the old AMC kits. The Matador, Gremlin, Javelin and Hornet. It would also be great if they could make new tooling kits for the AMC Hurst SC Rambler and Rebel The Machine.
Awesome! Good work you people and thank you Chris👍🏻😎. If there was one kit out of all those amt has made, it would be 1965 plymouth barracuda. I had my very first ride to this world in a 65' barracuda V8 four speed, well packed under the huge rear window. It was metallic blue and awesome
WOW! Chris, thank you so much for the tour of the company. Very interesting. Thank you to Round 2 for the awesome supply of models over the years. I have been building for over 60 years now and still have fun with it. Thanks again.....Tim👏👏👏👏
I didn't see this in the video, but the one kit more than any other I'd love to see reissued is the 1966 Imperial kit. My father and I have been rebuilding our "full scale" 66 Imperial which was handed down from his father, and I've been looking to purchase a kit of one. Unfortunately they are incredibly rare, but I think it would be incredible to be able to have a model kit to show with the real life car. That being said, incredible video, thank you for the opportunity to ride along with you for the tour. That's an amazing facility.
Here's an idea to start working on - 2027 is the 50th anniversary of Smokey and the Bandit. How about repopping/updating the Trans Ams and Trucks/Trailers from those films?
@@goratgo1970 Original 77 car, 80 turbo car, original 77 truck/trailer, 80 truck/trailer, and Buford obviously got a new car in each film, considering that each got trashed by the end of each one. They'd have to do a set for each film.
Sometimes when there was a model attached to a move or TV show they are hard to get re-released because of rights issues with said movie or TV show especially if a studio or company was sold or lapsed.
I really enjoyed this video. I'd love to see re-issue of the 1972, 1973, and 1974 Dodge Charger. Add the Rallye package option as a 2 in 1 kit. The originals are hard to come by!
My dream job. Hey Round2 , how about releasing again the MPC 1971 Roadrunner/ Superbird kit and the Freightliner FLC Tractor. And the Ski-Dio snowmobile kit.
Very nice look at Round 2. There are continuing to pump out new of old kits. We are so lucky to have them because they listen to US. This must have been an incredible opportunity for you. Thanks for sharing.
Hello, thank you for featuring some of my artwork on your channel! The illustrations you showed are acrylic paints. Both standard brush and airbrush. (My magazine work for Scale Auto and Model Cars utilized marker and colored pencil.) That Charger was a fun box to do because I'm a MoPar guy and that was a particularly good subject. Sometimes I provide digital artwork for Round 2 as well. Depends on the project. Thanks again for showing the actual artwork. Most people don't get a chance to see the originals! -Brad
Id love to see re releases of the 1977 Chevy camaro by amt. It was released as stock and a t top. Also most of the 70s releases of mpcs 1:25 cars and trucks. Would also like to see some new stuff, New Ram, Chevy and Ford Pick up. Police and emergency vehicles . I could go on but we don't have that much space or time. I have been a model builder since I was 5 and I'm now in my 60s. I also worked for a friend who owned a hobby store . It was sad to see him have to close. Like your videos Chris. Keep them coming.
In the early '90's we thought the model car hobby was dying. Then came the awesome Lindberg 61 Chevy and the AMT 60 Starliner. I knew there was hope for us diehard model builders. Round 2 is awesome. My only problem is, I may have to start mowing lawns again like back in the '60's in order to buy everything! Thanks for a great video!
Round 2 makes the world of model building so much better. Would love to see the International Transtar 2 Cabover released again...and maybe the old Ertl Tractors.
I'd love to see the dukes of Hazzard tow truck back out, either with or without the dukes decals, it would be awesome to have optional wrecker decals as well
That was so cool, would love to see Sox and Martin Rostock rereleased as well as the BJ and the bear truck, the Rubber duck mack, and a Smokey and the bandit truck, trailer and the car.
Very excited about the 64' Chevelle! Tell Chad I would love to hear more about the Barris Buggy! Also, 59', 60', 61' Pontiac, Oldsmobiles and Buicks! Great show Chris! Thank you😎👍
awesome! i m happy to see the ''disneyland'' warehouse . the BJ AND THE bear KW, the 72 chevelle, the AMC!! the red little truck, all models we want 4 so long. thank u all
Thanks for making this behind the scenes video. Round 2, please, more truck kits. How about either of the International S series kits, the International Paystar 5000 logger set or the 1/32 International 9670.
Thanks! I really like the reissue of the Ertl International Harvester kits, as I owned a 1971 Scout II purchased in 1996 from Dad who got it from his local mechanic. I flew to Montana from Alaska, and the two of us spent three days crawling all over and under it, tightening every bolt, nut, and screw we could find. I spent a week driving from the Missoula area to Valdez, AK with my year-old Brittany pup, and visiting along the way with people who came out to look at the first year Scout II at 25. People loved their Scouts, may they Rust In Peace. I'm glad to have the reissue kit! Thank you Round2!
The best video yet from you Chris. Love that you visited Round2 on site. Love the tour and the archive room. Would love if they brought back the vintage 1/25 scale BJ and the the Bear Kenworth cabover and Convoy rubber duck Mack truck.😊
I wish they would do the rubber duck Mack truck and trailer in 1/25 scale I would also love to see a GMC cracker box semi with the sleeper in 1/25 and the Kenworth bullnose in 1/25 scale
Very well done Chris and staff at Round2! If archive item B2-23 '91 Z/28 or the 25th Anniv. Z/28 ever make re-release, PLEASE retool or CORRECT the instument panel. All have the earlier IROC panel, completely different.
The best model kit ever made was the DM 800 tractor. Fortunately I joined the Navy Seabees 78-83 heavy equipment operator and worked in transportation and got to operate 2 different heavy hauling DM 800s in Gulfport Mississippi. I seen the kit up on that shelf. Made one model with front wheel drive with a custom V- plow .Loved doing my own custom work on models.
Something I haven't sen for a long time would be a great reissue is the Chevy window van as the "Open Road Camper". Reissuing older dodge window vans would be a welcome site!
All those amazing kits coming out, Ihope my wallet can stand it. Maybe someday soon Round 2 will reissue the 1969 Chevrolet Impala. Might I add, Chris is a man after my own heart to point out the Chrysler Imperial "Hero car". All amazing kits old and new. Thank you Round 2!
The li'l cashbox would be great. I think it was only released once. I'll definitely be getting a couple of the 64 malibu kits. Thanks for all the great kits.
Great. There is a kit I would like to see come back in 1/25th scale. That is the International 4070 B. Transtar. Thanks for all the great Heavy truck, Trailer, and tractor kits you have produced over the years. Want to bring out a new truck kit. Maybe the international 4670 cabover. I have over one hundred kits built.
I would love to see the " A - Team " van, the " Cooter " tow truck, the John Force Castrol GTX Olds funny car, and the Canepa Kenworth T600A semi as reissues!
Round 2 has the very coolest kits around. 😎 I have purchased their AMT Star Trek kits and the plastic is much more and has pretty nice moldings then the other one.
Nice tour an like round2 kits. I'm into semi trucks an trailers an got a huge collection myself. Love mack trucks and wish they would make a mack f700 cabover from 1970.
If Round 2 were to rerelease the AMT "Mad Mackerel" first generation Plymouth Barracuda (I saw that they have an original on the shelf), they wouldn't be able to produce them quick enough to satisfy the demand. That one has been LONG requested!!!!!
Seeing all of them molds reminds me when I worked at a Injection molding plant ( for 39.5 yrs ). We had 32 machines, some times my boss will tell me to put a big mold In a small press that should have gone in a big press. Well I don't have to tell you parts would flash, because there was not a lot of Tonage. I tryed to tell him but he would not care. Tools that should have been fixed because of bad venting would cause burn marks on parts. So to stop the burning I would put a couple of pcs of scotch tape on the sides of the vents to stop it from burning; well , I'LL stop for now! Just wanted to let you know What I had to do. Joe B.
i love the old van kits. The Moving On semi, any of the 80's cars. also anything my parents or grandparents drove, 66 GTO, 69 442 conv. 71 charger! 61 jaguar...any sci fi!! i really would like a 1976 grand prix and a 1975 sunbird! any nascar, open wheel
What a cool an fun day you must've had thanks for the behind the scenes tour of Round 2 and Auto World wonderful video thanks for your time you invested Chris 👍🏻👍🏻
Cool video. Nice to see where our stuff comes from. Wish list: Cooters tow truck, A-team van, 69 Pontiac Grand Prix, snowman's semi from smokey and the bandit. And the list goes on.😁👍
Hey Chris, thank you so much for sharing this, and thank you to the Round2 crew. You brought up things we want to see.... anything 1930's, and Truck kits from the 1960's....have a great day Chris and take care.
I seen a lot of kits I built when I was a kid. A very cool Model A Roadster kit that I would love to build, so cool. I'd love to be in your shoes for this tour, would be such a fun day.
Round Two, if you are listening, please bring back the 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 with the opening hood and engine and the NASCAR option and Fred Lorenzen decals. Had one many years back, long time ago.
My holy grail want is the MPC 1/25 1970 Mercury Cougar ....they have done the 1969 several times and now have re popped the 1971/72/73.....but I have never seen a re pop of the 1970.....really need that one bad...
I would love to see some more variants of the 90s Ford truck kits, the Lightning is great but I love the flareside and the longbed too. And that 70s 6-wheel van, the tooling for that extra custom bit on the back might be lost, but I loved seeing that in the archives and that van was reissued with the Coke branding I think. Or they could do a grille for it with the later square headlights, stuff like that where you can update one or two sprues and completely change the look of a model. Maybe some standalone releases of stuff like the go-kart, the minibikes, the trailers etc. put those out as a "Truck owner's toys" special accessory pack or something.
Very cool Chris thanks for showing use round 2. Some of the kits I would like to see come back are, Fonzie's triumph motorcycle, 1/25 triumph, BSA motorcycle, 74 Camaro, 64 El Camino, and wagon, 60 El Camino, 56 Chevy 4 door wagon, more of the mpc 70's pro stock cars, American graffiti 2 milner's dragster, mid 60's Cadillac's, 72 GMC step side p/u, 1/16 57 Chevy hardtop, is some that comes to my mind at the moment, I'm sure there's more, Those little mini model boxes that comes in some kits are cool, would like to see them come back, But you guys are doing a great job at round 2
Arrange it to better match the pilot "In Tandem" episode '73 KW since it resembles it most anyways. The Revell boxing is much closer to the VIT in the show.
I'd like to see Round2 re-issue a few "not so common" kits like the 1968 & 1969 Pontiac Bonneville, the 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix, the 1968 & 1969 Chevrolet Impala, any Oldsmobile Toronado from 1966 through 1969...and that's just for starters.
Id really like the old Peterbuilt Rex Chainbelt cement mixer - circa late 1960’s. Definitely a niche item, I had one given to me from my Dad who was an engineer at Rex. Great episode.
Would love to see the MPC Pro Stock series reissued, the STP Indy Turbine car and I'll chime in on the Bluesmobile as a HECK YEAH! Also, the Wild Willy Borsch Winged T and the drag series shown on the boxart side panels would be must haves for me!
I want to see the international paystar 5000 log truck! Such a cool old kit! Really cool to see how this works! Are they accepting applications?! What a cool place to work.
I remember when the hobby seemed to be fading away and model car companies were hurting and I honestly believe that Round2 saved our hobby so THANK YOU to Round2 for what you have done for the hobby.
I would love for them to re-release the long bed version of the 1960 Chevrolet Apache 10 pickup
I’m so happy that Round 2 is rereleasing all those old kits!! I hear people complaining about flash and crap, but you gotta admit, that’s it’s so awesome to see them all again!
Those people are seriously cry babies, they aren't skilled model builders. It takes seconds to remove flash from a part.

@@BlueGillage found the Crybaby. Your "opinion" part is ironic considering you're giving me shit for mine. 🤡
Isn't the flash caused by old (worn) molds?

Yes, THANK YOU round 2! Just keep on "pouring" out MORE and MORE new models for all of us fans and keep the hobby alive!
Chris,Thanks for this very informative video!
I'm sure I'm not the only guy asking for reissues of the MPC 1968, 69, 71 and 72 Chevrolet Impalas!
Thanks for listening!
Oh man I'd love to have a 1974 Dodge Monaco model. So many possibilities for showroom, Bluesmobile, or even demo derby.
I’d love to see Round2 release some of the old AMC kits. The Matador, Gremlin, Javelin and Hornet. It would also be great if they could make new tooling kits for the AMC Hurst SC Rambler and Rebel The Machine.
That archives room was off the hook, I could spend weeks in there! Thanks for showing us this outstanding factory and that cool Barris T buggy!
Awesome! Good work you people and thank you Chris👍🏻😎. If there was one kit out of all those amt has made, it would be 1965 plymouth barracuda. I had my very first ride to this world in a 65' barracuda V8 four speed, well packed under the huge rear window. It was metallic blue and awesome

Great video. I wish they would come out with a 1/25th scale 80s or 90s GMC school bus.
I would absolutely love to see the 1960 Plymouth Police car station wagon reissued ..
My dream job. I'd love being surrounded by kits all day
There is no way I could be in the archives room. I wouldn't get a damn thing done, I would be too busy admiring the models that surrounded me.
You're not alone, believe me. 😅😅😅😅
I would pay to hangout there. lol

I always loved the MPC Mack dm800 tractor. I love the issue that had the Stars and Stripes paint scheme on the fenders on the box art.
Nice !
What a cool an fun day you must've had thanks for the behind the scenes tour of Round 2 and Auto World wonderful video thanks for your time you invested Chris 👍🏻👍🏻
Wow is this ever fun! What a great company that does so much for us modelers. Thanks for taking us on this tour!
Great tour Chris! I would like to see them reissue cooters tow truck in one form or another, the 1933 Chevy delivery sedan and the original alakart!
67 Galaxie Coupe, surely?😊
Definitely the MPC 1970 and 1971 MPC Mercury Cyclone kits. And the 1970 MPC Cougar kit.
My holy grail want is the MPC 1/25 1970 Mercury Cougar ....they have done the 1969 several times and now have re popped the 1971/72/73.....but I have never seen a re pop of the 1970.....really need that one bad...
Daytona Cobra Coupe! That is a kit I have been dying to build!
Fantastic video Chris, I really enjoyed this one, keep up the great work, and thank you for all that do for the hobby. 🇨🇦
Very cool tour and video. Be nice to see the 91/92 camaro rereleased
Some of the kits I would like to see come back are, Fonzie's triumph motorcycle, 1/25 triumph, BSA motorcycle, 74 Camaro, 64 El Camino, and wagon, 60 El Camino, 56 Chevy 4 door wagon, more of the mpc 70's pro stock cars, American graffiti 2 milner's dragster, mid 60's Cadillac's, 72 GMC step side p/u, 1/16 57 Chevy hardtop, is some that comes to my mind at the moment, I'm sure there's more,
Those little mini model boxes that comes in some kits are cool, would like to see them come back,
But you guys are doing a great job at round 2
72 Pontiac Ventura
Movin' On semi model from the 70's TV show.
