@@koenigneroWhat!? Not at all! You can even live stream on 4k in RUclips and Twitch. And of course for pro works live streamings and recordings for publish later! You need 4k!
Not everyone wants or needs 4k, so this could be an option for them. As I said in the video, it's not a must have for everyone but does offer a great alternative for some folks!
@@LiveStreamingPros Thank you so much! Your content has helped me more than you could ever know. I went from doing my own livestream show to creating the first and only Live Stream Show for The US. Air Force and Space Force, now I am working on a video podcast for a large non-profit and it all started by watching your content and spending a lot of money, lol.
This is exactly what I have wanted for about 2 years now. ISO, webcams and HDMI!! I only need one mic in-put! Gonna have to save up a bit for that though. I am curious, can you use that in tandem with the Rodecaster Duo. That's the only thing I think I would miss is having those manual controls for the audio. Other than that I think I might be selling the Duo and and ATEM Mini for the Rodecaster Video.
Interesting comparison...I like Rode but would one be better getting one of the upcoming Mac Minis and using it for an Ecamm only computer rather than getting something like this...hmmm.
Very impressive but costs way too much. They hit a sweet spot with the Rodecaster Duo. Add 2-3 video inputs with a single output and call it a day for $699
What a super cool device. I’m really curious about its capture specs especially for gaming capture. i currently use an Avermedia external card for 4k120 pass through and 4K60 capture. What does this allow for?
Useful video, Luria. Thanks. I’ll pass on this-at that price not being able to customize cameras (e.g., circles) there are multiple better Blackmagic options.
@@Teacher_Tangents For this price the Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO does more. It's not quite as easy as this appears but that's it. I use that ATEM as well as the very cheap ($345) ATEM SDI. It doesn't have Blackmagic's "Supersource" capability works well for a 4-camera switcher.
The Atem Mini Pro ISO does “nearly” everything you mention for the Rodecaster Pro since 2024 and for less than half the price: 1. Video camera switcher 2. Audio device (inbuild Fairlight chip is very powerful, ok it doesn’t do mix minus). 3. Capture card. 4. Streaming device. Ok the Rode is a more modern and flexible version of it, but does that justify the 3x price tag. For sure, not for everyone. And the Rodecaster lacks something as important as an SDK/API which lets us integrate it into Companion or Central Control!
Love the idea and what they are doing. I'll stick with my elgato cam link pro and rodecaster pro 2. I get 4 HDMI inputs at 4K in my computer and audio from Rode.
On a Rode to nowhere without 4k support. These days.
4k would be $2k at least and 4k is just a thing for Television, not for Web
BMD does 4k for less than 2k.

Can it do MORE than a Rodecaster Pro + Atem Mini Pro combo?
Great overview! When using this with Ecamm, does it appear as only one (1) video souce like the ATEM Mini does? Thanks.
Correct. I’ll be covering that in detail soon!
The exact same question I have!

Cool, how you'll let us know how it goes!
will you do a one of your great Master Classes for this device?. ismilar to what you did for Rodcaster Pro?. That would be great, Thanks!
Probably not, it just isn't possible to review all the gear out there. If you do a search on RUclips, you should find what you're looking for!
ISO record? Please please please tell me its 4k iso recording.
Not yet. 1080p
@@LiveStreamingPros boooo 1080p in a 2024 release
@@chrishox5487 No one streams in 4k.
4K capability in a switcher at that price is impossible. See how much BMD charge for their 4K products.

Fantastic review, thank you for this.
Glad you enjoyed it! ♥️

That depends on your needs and processing requirements. I’m gonna break down that question in a new video!
Looks super promising. Can't wait to see how it works with my RC Pro 2.
But I'll wait until they add 4K to at least one video source though.
Yep, it's early days and I'm sure they'll add to it over time! 👍
Fantastic as always thanks for this information Luria
Glad it was helpful!

To add video requires a lot more than just slapping on inputs. The system itself needs much more processing power!
Nice but should be half this price.
Yass, mad expensive!
The cost of purchasing separately an Atem, an audio mixer, and a HyperDeck far exceeds the price of the RCV. It’s really not horrible.
As others have mentioned, if you bought the different devices for each feature, you'd spend way more than this, so it's a kinda a bargain!

1080p 60fps at max. Recording and pass through. This is not made for gaming streaming in mind.
@@Guillemod that’s a shame. 1080p in 2024, at that price point is disappointing. Hopefully a “Pro” version is in the works.

I have never heard good audio quality from the Atem ISO!
Mix minus is important when you are running an interview or a panel discussion
The only advantage of the Atem iso is dedicated output
RCV can also play multiple video files as sources. Atem can’t do that
