My name is Yvonne. I create and post videos about my daily life with Friesian Horses. I will show you the true Friesian Horse and what they are like: day to day care, training, riding dressage and the very special birthing of foals. Breaks my heart to see Risey stumble, but he looks happy and his coat is beautiful. He really likes greeting Spidey and allows him to steal some of his hay. I understand how dangerous it would be to put them in the pasture together, but at least they can see each other from the stall. Those ponies were putting on their own rodeo show in the arena. So full of energy. I think they were trying to see who could get the dirtiest, think Daisy won.

Yes Far to dangerous for Risey to be free with others, but he has good contact in stalls and over the wire. At the end of the video when Risey and Spidey were eating at Riseys stall I think Risey was thinking someone had shrunk Rinse Janko or Peter. Yes Will be sad to see Wünder gone to Stal G but he is ready and starting to bully Saly x

Now I know how the veterans of the channel feel. It's especially hard to say goodbye to horses you've seen grow from foals.

I follow flat racing in the US; it is difficult to follow the horses through their careers and it is important to do so because they can land in bad places. The sport is working on this. And there are rescue and aftercare organizations.
I agree. I really loved the two boys who were with Risey before. I really worry about where horses might end once they are gone from the place they loved as foals. Part of that is that I have owned so many rescue dogs and stray cats that have adopted me. The other part is having loved "Black Beauty" so much as a child. I read, and read, and read it, and goodness, it's sad to think what might become of a beloved animal.
Oh, how sad 😔 they got sold. We will all miss them. Goodbye, Rinse Janko and Pieter and Mathilde and Marije they will all be moving from stall g to their new forever homes we will all miss you.
Rising Star has such an intelligent demeanor towards the ponies and the horses at Stal H, not once has he pinned his ears. He's either just outright relaxed or inquisitive and not the hypervigilant horse he was at Stal G, the way he's looking at Spidey 26:56 is enough to melt someone's heart.
Relaxed, inquisitive. You are so right. Risey seems to be so secure and happy away from the adorable, sweet but rough housing boys at Stal G. Now he has a companionable friend in Spidey.
Spidey is kind of part of the don’t have a buddy anymore as well. Good for both!

I think that Rising Star could be gelded and kept as the miracle he really is. Wobbles is a terrible syndrome and it's very sad to watch......but giving him the care and love without expecting anything of him brings such joy. Geld him and let him be happy until he says he's ready to move on. This colt has another purpose in his life. Maybe a therapy horse, maybe a role model for disabled children. Rising Star is special.
Gelding him won't solve anything. If the wobbler is related to rapid growth, then gelding him will slow down his skeletal development as he is still growing and as a result, make his wobbler worst. Wobbler is a degenerative disease as well, it slowly becomes worser over time and can cause the horse to have a lower life span. Some horses have known to outgrow the condition, gelding him would throw that possibility out of the window.
Rising Star was gelded. So no matter what we think, Yvonne did what she thought best.
Seeing Rising Star makes my day! All his noises he makes I love. But most of all I love his whinny. No mistake who it is. It was sad to see Pieter all alone in the arena. No more of the “three amigos”. They had good times together. I do hope Pieter gets a good home. He has always been a lovely Colt.🙏🌠💗☘️
I believe pietre was sold to a family while rinse janco went to a larger stable where he has in turn been up for sale
I gasped, out loud when Risey stumbled. I can't even imagine how hard it is for Yvonne to see this everyday.

McDreamy is called a buckskin here in the USA. He's such a handsome horse!! Love seeing Risey, even though he stumbles. I look forward to your videos, and enjoy them so very much!!

I think in the US a buckskin has a black mane and tail and a dun has the same color mane and tail as their dun coat. I am not sure of that, however.

I‘m always amazed by these gorgeous stables! So big and clean, and I love the „window“, so Risey can say hello to Spidey.
My horse riding clubs (where I went to when I was young) all were cramped places, dark and dusty and with bad air. The horses were not very happy I think. All horses should live as shown on this channel ❤

However, I can only say that, when My Father workedvwith horses, in Australia...many years ago....the horses had good, clean accommodations, but not spacious, as in Friesland...
Inam very impressed with both Reij' s and Yvonne' s Stals for their Friesians!
I believe that most horse owners in Australia...where I am from...do provide better for their horses than once was the case!

Do goats eat nettles? Also, I love love love Spidey. He's a good friend for Risey, even though they're friends across a fence. Please keep Spidey in the family. He's such a sweetheart.
I also thought about goats when Yvonne asked about getting rid of them. But I am not a goat expert at all. lol.
Nothing has been mentioned about Spidey going anywhere but remember regardless these are Yvonne’s horses we as followers don’t make any decisions,ask or tell her what she should or shouldn’t do with her animals MOD.
It’s nice that Risey can go out in the pasture now & that he can visit through the fence with Spidey.
Rinse Janko was always one of my favorites. I hope he has a wonderful new home.

Love hearing Risey’s happy snorts! The ponies always make me smile with their antics! I will miss seeing the horses who were sold, but I am sure they will have good homes and make someone happy.
Risey & Spidey are becoming friends, too bad they can't be in the pasture together. At least they can be close when they're outside. Mario was having quite a fun time in the arena. I'll miss RJ & Pieter who along with Risey comprised the 3 Amigos. Wunder is almost as tall as Saly, I'm sure she's ready to be done with raising him.😘

Risey is handing things VERY well. He's calm, doesn't mind his time alone at all which is a good thing. A lot of horses are stressed by being alone so much when they see other horses around them. He's very receptive to having you there with him and comes to you readily which says he's not stressed. He's doing really well given the circumstances.
The “Pony Party” in the arena was hilarious! You are most certainly are giving Risey his best life, however long that might be & I know that is a lot of stress on you. You always give your animals their best life and you’re such a blessing to them and us. I loved Risey’s story and it’s sad to see all the boys go their separate ways even though it’s life. I always had a soft spot for Peter and will pray that all the horses have loving owners like you. Got tears in my eyes seeing Risey next to Uniek in the barn. She’s gorgeous and there is something so majestic about her. Such a sweet video and your husband is amazing and he loves you so much!

I just knew that Matthilda and Marji were going to be sold when they didn't reachSter rank at the inspections. Going to miss all ones sold but, I've been around long enough to know it happens.
Risey is looking really content with his new home. The world keeps praying that he recovers. I just pray that he's able to live a long fulfilling life. Maybe not the life everybody thought he would have but, ghe one he's meant to lead. He's such a special horse and he has a purpose.
The ponies are a hoot. Might be time for more permanent pony stalls. It's really interesting to see each ones individual personality shine through.

RS's coat appears to be turning a beautiful copper colour ! I'm sorry to see Marije leaving - I think she is really special . Always hard decisions to be made on a farm . Kiki has a worrying habit of getting too close to the horses now as I saw her running for her life a couple of videos back -- she used to keep her distance but has lost her fear I guess . You're so fortunate to be living your dream Yvonne !
It was so hard to see Risey stumble and not move well. I'm glad he's with you Yvonne.
It caught me completely off guard that Wunder will be moved to stol G.
It seems so unfair for Risey to have wobbler after losing his mother as a newborn, and after seeing how gorgeous his strides were and how much job he got out of running and playing before it struck. But luckily he has such a caring person in Yvonne who does the absolute best she can for him and all of her horses. Very sad to see Rinse Janko go, what a gem of a horse to see grow up and morph into a spirited and beautiful horse. Maybe his new people will share videos of him online??
It was a little upsetting to see Risey stumble. But he does look so healthy and his coat is so beautiful and shiny. It sure is cute how he and Spidey were getting to know each other. And that Wunder has gotten so big and he is so handsome. And I’m sure mama will be glad for the break.
Mario just cracks me up with his kicking up high and racing around. He is so cute and that peach she’s almost as big as her mama too tall wise.

I hate to see Risey struggle, but hopefully his condition will improve. Marije and Matlde were 2/3 of the 3 M fillies. They clearly have remained besties. I hope both are happy in their new homes.

It's always interesting to see how Rising Star interacts with the other horses, his interactions have always varied and can be somewhat unpredictable due to his warmblood breed.
I have found him to be very laid back....considering his age ( and yes, that he is a warm blood)
Maybe it' s the Uniek influence??
Or his gentle raising?

I think it’s a mix of his gentle raising and Queen Unieks gentleness. He’s an amazing gentle for a Stallion.

Good morning. Thank you for creating the long version of the video. I was very happy to be able to see the horses for so long.💓 Especially Risey's appearance. I could see how bad his legs were. But he eats well, tries to move hard, and always responds to your calls. He loves it when you call his name and touch him. I understand. I hope he gets better soon. , and I hope he gets to know Spidey better. 🌠🍀

Wow, so much news in this video! I'll miss Mathilde and Marije, they're both beautiful fillies and I'm sure will do well wherever they go. And the sale of Rinse Janko is no surprise, once he didn't make the grade at the inspection, he's so beautiful I knew he'd sell fast. It's definitely sad that we won't be seeing him, though. So will Wunder be with Pieter, even though he's younger? Maybe not, yet, but he's definitely at that "annoying colt" stage in this video, poor Saly! It's nice that Risey and Spidey get to have a snack together and that Risey still has some social time with other horses and ponies, even though it's not the usual way. And good to see Risey and Uniek quietly relating to each other in adjoining stalls....
In English, I'd call Dreamy's color "dun" (pronounced like "done") -- light tan with black mane and tail, sometimes on the nose. I can't recall if he has black on his legs, but I think he can be called dun whether there are black legs or not. In the US, there's a similar coloration called "buckskin" -- I think they always have black legs, but I'm not sure. The two colorations are different genetically, but can look pretty much the same....

Risey did have a stumble but I think he is happy and safe with Yvonne! Science is always progressing and I 🙏 that Risey will get better or live a happy life with Yvonne! He is such a beautiful horse! We will miss Wunder everyday, but he will adjust and be happy with other colts at Stal G! I’m sure Yvonne will keep us updated! The ponies are so cute! Wondering if Yvonne will give lessons to the local kids when time permits? She is definitely busy now and the weather hasn’t been cooperating with having to take the horses in multiple times a day! Plus family time is important! Thanks Yvonne for bringing us along! 🙏 for you and Risey! ❤️

I had a horse one time and I had to sing (Old King Cole was a merry ole soul and a merry ole soul was he) and he would come running. I so enjoyed that when I was a little girl, you call for Risey reminded me of that. Thank you I'm now 72.
I know surgery is the only real cure right now for Wobblers. But, to me, it seems like a dramatic step.The surgery is hard on the horse, the recovery period is long, and the outcome is not a sure thing. Even the diagnostic part of preparing for Wobblers surgery is hard on the horse - and it is expensive. I think they have to have dye injected so they can determine exactly where the problem is, and the horse would need to be anesthesized for that. It may be becoming more routine in Wobblers cases, but to me, it still seems drastic.
That's why I keep thinking that trying to manually move the vertebra to try to relieve the pressure on the nerves, along with methods to repair any existing nerve damage (therapeutic ultrasound?), should be tried for a while. After all, Rising Star is still young. I think Rodinde Hoogenraad is a good vet for Rising Star right now. She is an osteopathic vet and does manual adjustments. It would be interesting to hear what she thinks about his condition, and his grade of impairment. I think the clinic where she works does Wobblers surgery, but I'm not sure.
Let's say Yvonne gives Rising Star time, and somehow he were to achieve full recovery (by whatever means). Horses of his breed and those used for dressage tend to be very successful when they are somewhat older. If Yvonne had previously wanted to breed Rising Star, that may not be in the cards right now. But, even with that, he could do that as a much older horse. Hereditary factors in Wobblers is still not really proven, though it is suspected because the condition occurs most often in certain breeds.
Goodbye Rinse Janko, Pieter, Marije and Mathilde 🐎🐴. They stole our hearts as they were growing up and with their Mischievous😈. I hope they all find a home where they will be loved and cared .❤️

Love watching Risey getting to be in the pasture again and making happy noises but it is so sad to see him struggle with his back legs giving out. Mario put on a show today. Hysterical! He has Johnny’s blood coursing through his veins! No doubt of that. Speedy is so sweet with Risey. I was hoping he snd Risey could be together but understand that Risey could hurt Spidey. What a woberful & intersting video this was Yvonne. I loved seeing the woodpecker too. Plus we went to Stall G too. I feel like we had a real visit to Friesland! Amen l agree with you on everything you said! And seeing the kestrels are they a type of hawk and the woodpecker l was also wondering what it was pecking at, it looked like boxes that we put up in trees for tree squirrels🤔
