I really admire the beautiful relationship between the two of you. Years ago when my husband was laid off I really enjoyed having him around the house. Of course he needed to go back to work because we needed money but it was nice to have him around.
I truly feel sorry for those who have to be out in the snowy cold weather. When it gets colder and I see a lot of snow I talk to God and thank Him that I have a warm house.
I'm am so happy for you both !! My husband retired after 42 years with the Railroad as a switchman/brakeman and like you he can now sit indoors and enjoy rain, sleet or snow or even the high summer temps and not have to be out on the rails walking the track or switching cars in the weather. Enjoy life and your sweet wife :-)
My husband works for the state. He hates snow. He dreads driving/plowing in it too. So wonderful you can get away from it. I can wait until my hubby came retire also.
My husbands headphones save my sanity ! We also both work part time so we get time away from each other and home. I have a couple ladies I still take places and clean for. And my social security, he cleans at the American Legion and has retirement from the national guard 21 years. Next July he can start social security and draw from his pension where he worked for 31 years, we are debt free and it's great.
We live in a much smaller downsize. And what you say runs true for us too. We are both retired. We have a narrow bedroom entryway that can be problematic but most times we are gracious and defer passage to the other 😉 One thing that helps us with noise is a small round "white noise" machine. If one wants a nap, or needs time in another room without hearing the other's phone call - it works! Headphones too are a great tool. We also like morning "quiet times" apart in bedroom & living area with coffee. We wake up after our first cups of coffee and then are ready to face whatever the day has in store together. So happy for you too & we get the same question too about 24/7!
You two are great. Thanks for inviting us into your life I'm constantly amazed at how much love you both show to one another. Thanks for being such a beautiful example. Many blessing for you both. Thanks again.
If I may share, Just lost my husband last night. Binge-watching your videos is comforting to my heart. We were very close and always will be in heart. Like both of you feel so much love together.
Oh, Cindy, we’re so sorry to hear that you lost your husband! I just can’t imagine how hard! We are praying for you and your family. This is Elizabeth. I wish I could give you a shoulder to lean on. ❤️❤️ Matthew 11: 28-30
My attitude about snow really changed for the better when I retired. Now I can just spend the day at home watching it fall. And also watching videos like yours about tiny house living. Thanks for sharing your stories.
Considerate and respectful, that is the key to being in a small space. My Husband and I work our jobs from home for years now, and we have absolutely loved it. One thing that sometimes work for us (me really) when Hubby seems to be hanging around a little too much is to go to a coffee shop or library for a little while to work. But then I miss him and wander back home. A wonderful life indeed!
really love you guys. My husband and I are about to retire. Cant wait. I cant wait to spend time with him. People say I am going to get tired of him under my feet but I wont. I know we work to live but I want to down size and live cheaper. I love your love for each other. Your communication. Thanks God bless
My hubby retired in Feb. 2006 from being a heavy equipment operator for 40 yrs. and he still gets a smile on his face (like you) every time it snows, rains, way too hot temps, it never gets old! Being together 24/7 is an adjustment but soooo worth IT! God bless you both and Dad! (HUGS)
Hi Bill & Elizabeth, I am so happy to have discovered your channel from Linda’s Pantry. Congratulations to Bill to be able to stop driving your truck. That is wonderful!! I look forward to learning from both of you. Hope you are having a great weekend. Love, Mary ❤️😘❤️
Your video was very enjoyable. We live in a tiny space too with our cat and it can be challenging at times but we make it work.Living in R.I.we have times in the winter we have to stay inside but its not that bad.
Your videos are so inspiring especially with me struggling with the cold and snow. The Thrive is already providing me with warm good clean meals. What a lifesaver. I have to watch things over and over due to my asthma but I’m learning from the videos. Cold is really not good for asthma. God bless you two for sharing your awesome life together
Very happy for you two. Love seeing you love each other, love life, and love God.....AND love TL. I just joined as a consultant this week (through a local girlfriend) and learn so much from you all. My favorite thing about Thrive isn’t just the food....but the people that ALL care about ALL. That, to me, is what sets it apart from other industries. Thanks for the encouragement. 💕
LOL...love that too......something I used to do.....but now I have no Bosses, except God is my boss.....I only listen to him.....go and come when I want to..... cook if I want to, lay around and binge watch YT all day if I want to, eat Bon Buns when I want to.....and other junk food.....that I have always done....and way too much of course.....but did cut back on the cokes , and I do eat less sweets, but love my Lays low salt potato chips, love pretzels, Doritos ,Fritos , nuts, mostly all kind.....with walnuts being my fav....and last but not least Ice Cream.....think I will have a dish of Kroger Black Walnut Ice Cream.....love that nut.....lol....sounds like I'm hungry eh ? I hear the ice cream calling my name :)
What a joy filled time you kids are having. Positive outlook rather than that of a daily grind. Love your great view of life and helping others ( family as well as customers). You are inspiring.
We've been married 47 years, have lived in many tiny homes with 2 boys & all their friends. So we truly understand. We both retired by December 16, 2016 & agree that with the Lord, all things are possible; even a joyful marriage!
Living in New England my whole life, I can certainly relate to the anxiety one feels when there is a pending snowstorm or one that is occurring and either you are at work or having to get to work...I can't wait for the day when I'm retired and it snows and I don't have to worry about driving in it :)
I worked outside for 37 years, don't miss it! Headphones and a man cave for a place to paint watercolors have been a marriage saver for us,and we live in a 1800 sq.ft house.😀
I hear echos of our life with you both...my husband had a stroke in 1997. He's disabled from it and we have had to rely on the Lord to provide. We live in Maine...He just got his license back last summer, had it back for a while but after a TIA he lost it again. We're now in our 60's. If you ever want to chat, just let me know. :) Oh, and Bob used to drive long-haul for a while, we met when he drove an oil delivery truck...so let me know if you want to connect. God bless!
When I had to move out of my apartment for renovations and moved into a motel room for a few months, my two teen daughters and I learned that we got along better in the smaller space than a roomy apartment where someone could go off and pout and let anger fester. Smaller spaces are better for families in my personal opinion because it causes us to learn to be respectful and accommodating of each other. You are such a darling couple! God bless yous!
That's an interesting perspective. I've never heard anyone say anything like that, but I think there may be some truth to it! The usual argument is that you MUST have room for more person space or you will drive each other crazy. I've never bought into that idea. Being forced to work things out because of living in a small space sounds like a better idea to me!
Hi guys so happy for you both! My hubby is hyperactive and I didn't think he would handle being retired. He swore he would LOVE being at home. Truth be told, I had been a housewife for twenty years and enjoyed my alone time. Well, hubby retired and he has been nonstop! He loves doing my old household chores. Laundry and cooking. Most of all, I love having him home!
I love having my hubby home with me..lots has happened in our lives...family illness, Hurricane Harvey...since he retired..but we are older and time is our most precious commodity...enjoy yourselves!
Love this video. I got just over a year with my hubby after I retired. That was a most precious time. I'm glad I had that. What sustains me is he i in heaven, and I shall see him again.
So glad you quit your truck driving job and now self employed. Happy to hear you enjoyed your vacation. Everything is coming together for you two. God Bless.
My husband loves your channel so I started watching it about a week ago and have been binge watching ever since. We absolutely love you and Elizabeth! Praise God that he has blessed you with a much needed retirement! You have been such an inspiration to me. We are also looking forward to retirement in about four years after working for almost 40. I will be trying some Thrive Life to see if we like it as much as you do. Thank you for being such a wonderful example of responsible Christian living. Blessings friends!!
I retired in March 2017 and my husband has been medically retired since 2009. We are so happy and thankful to get to spend most of our time together. I wish you continued health and happiness!
Husband and I have been married 46 years, he retired from John Deere 1 yr. ago. I told him then he wasn't "retired", he was "repurposed." We live in a tiny house connected by a breezeway to "the big house" we used to live in. That's where our daughter and all her family live now. We all share 12+ acres and the animals. My husband thought he couldn't live in a tiny house, but it has worked out well for us, we are cozy, content, and blessed. Supposed to get 7-9" of snow here Friday, SW Michigan.
Wonderful...I'm so happy to hear when someone is content and joyful.:) Elizabeth, I just love seeing your beautiful smile on every video! It's contagious...I smile whenever I see you smiling.:) My parents spent 28 years...almost constantly together, in my Dad's retirement. They loved it!
Just subscribed to your channel; love it. You two remind me of my wife and I. She retired 5 years ago, I retired last year. We got rid of our camper and brought a Park Model that has 390 square feet and put it at our campground which is seasonal. My wife would stay there year round if we could. Our house is 1800 sq feet which is too big for us now. Looking at selling it. We both have a pension and social security so we were able to retire and enjoy life. No more 60 hours a week working and clearing snow from the parking lots in the winter. It is much better looking at the snow fall from my window. Since I was a work alcoholic, it took me some time to adjust to our new life style. And, I had to learn to say no when my ex employer would call and beg me to come in and work. My wife would not let me; she is the boss. So, retirement can be nice and you can live in a tiny house and save money. Now, if you decide to buy a tiny house, check with your local zoning codes department first. You can not just place a tiny house anywhere and in some areas not at all. If you plan on living in cold weather, make sure the tiny house has the winter package.
You guys are truly enjoying life. The one thing I learned when we downsized it's easier to enjoy life when you are out of debt and don't burden yourself with stuff. If viewers did not watch your story they should. for me 08 was kind of a blessing, eye opener. Thanks for the video
Bill, congrats on the home business and getting off the road. Enjoy spending time with Elizabeth and enjoy life working at your own leisure. Great video guys, Carl and Dawn Homestead
So true, it is really pretty when you don't have to drive in it. LOL! I'm fortunate I can work from home when the roads are bad. I'm so happy for you both. All those years of hard work pay off, when you can retire. I'm hoping to be there in 3 more years. Have a great weekend, Bill & Elizabeth!!
You two are such an inspiring couple. Even in the winter you two seem so happy together. Enjoy your time together. In the summer it will be nice to be able to create space outdoors. My grandpa when he retired would go to his coop a small old tool shed. Maybe your tool shed could become your man cave or season room.
My brother is retired from trucking and spending his second winter in Florida in his motorhome with his wife. I of course keep him updated on the weather here at home. But I’m happy for him and happy for you!! Enjoy your snow! Debra in Ohio
I am so happy you will make more videos! I love watching you guys and even watch old ones, repeats actually, just cause I crave wholesome entertainment!
I just love your video's. You live in such a beautiful place. And you have made a home of your little spot. It just proves the saying that home is where the heart is.. Hoping you get to use your cottage a lot. Also I love the happiness you both have that you are not having to drive that huge truck while having to watch out for all of the little bitty vehicles doing stuff that makes one realize they don't know how big and heavy the truck you are driving is. Let it snow, let it snow. let it snow.
I just love u 2 i feel peaceful knowing u dont have to drive yr truck anymore & especially when yr young lady smiles. I can feel the love of Jesus come thru.
Watching your videos makes me feel like I’m spending special time with good Christian friends. God bless as you share the joy He has put in your hearts! Oh, I enjoyed seeing the snow because it’s cold here but we’ve hardly any snow. We live about 60 miles west of Mpls, Mn. I say about 60 mi. because as the suburbs spread out it lessens the mi. 😐
Congratulations! Weather in a semi is life altering. It's taken me years not to be bothered by the snow now that I am retired. Enjoy each other. I love the videos.🤗❤️
You can come to Florida, where our winter days can be in the 70 to 80 range. We love to meet you both in person. There is a camp ground 3 mins from my house. There in never a lack of something to see a do.
Congrats to you Bill!! So happy for both of you that you can finally have time to spend together. My hubby and I are also looking forward to our retirement. We too have just experienced a little bump in the road on our journey, as my hubby suffered a stroke in December. He too is a self employed contractor but has been forced to stop working sooner than planned. The best news is he is recovering very well. I am nearing my 30 year mark in my government job and could possibly retire in the near future. I have only found your channel a month ago, but have loved following your journey. You are both such wonderful people. You truly inspire me. I can't wait for your next videos. Thanks for sharing with all of us.
When I was stationed in Germany, my unit (Army Band) traveled a lot. Many times we stayed at British Army bases. I’ll never forget one British soldier who kept calling us “Damn Colonials!” LOL
Glad you didn’t have to brave that snow storm!!!! You should come to Texas! If you want warmth you will get that here in spades...from Mother Nature and from the lovely people..I moved here nearly 30 yrs ago!
Fantastic video. It is good to see you two enjoying each others company more regularly. It must be so exciting, for Bill, to be able to have so much freedom now. Often times, too many people work too hard and afterwards, they are unable to reap the rewards they were expecting (i.e. freedom). Kudos to Bill for reaching such an important milestone.
Congratulations on retirement! I have 10 months till I retire, I can't wait, I can sleep in an if I don't want to leave my house, I won't. You 2 are such a awesome couple
Congratulations! You two are too sweet! Don't worry, your not alone. When your in a small space things can get can get annoying sometimes especially when your both home. Everyone needs alone time. I swear that bird in the beginning of the video goes by my home too in upstate ny.
Hang out and enjoy each other's company, and remember that whatever is done or not done, and how much you might think the other person is upset about something (or would be upset if he/she found out something), that he/she would rather have each other than not, for sure.
I have a lot of retired friends that think they can't possibly live without escaping Wisconsin in the winter. I worked 48 years. Now I stock up on groceries on the nice days, and on days like today, I lay on the bed watching YT, or reading a book while the snonadoes fly by my window! I'm content just being warm and not having to drive to work on snow!
Love watching your RUclips channel. Congratulations on your retirement. Normally we watch your channel on our Smart TV and we feel as though we're sitting in the living room with you. However watching on the TV we don't get to tell you how great your videos are and how much you make us smile. Love your Tea with Jesus! Just know we are watching. God bless! For His Sake, Ann and Ray, living in a retirement community in Florida
My husband is retired and I just love his company....we are together 24/7 and we don’t get tired of it...he’s my dearest friend...
I really admire the beautiful relationship between the two of you. Years ago when my husband was laid off I really enjoyed having him around the house. Of course he needed to go back to work because we needed money but it was nice to have him around.
I can tell you two are madly in love!! They way you two look at each other... Lovely!
I truly feel sorry for those who have to be out in the snowy cold weather. When it gets colder and I see a lot of snow I talk to God and thank Him that I have a warm house.
Elizabeth's smile and warm voice never fails to cheer me up.
My dad was a switchman for Grand Trunk RR.
You are both truly a great example of what marriage should be and what God intended. I love watching all your videos! God bless you both :)
U are the sweetest couple God has blessed u abundantly

Watching your videos is like visiting my favorite neighbors (big smile)
You two are so sweet! Love watching you! I'm so happy you have your businesses and can do everything from your cozy home! Stay safe, stay warm!
My attitude about snow really changed for the better when I retired. Now I can just spend the day at home watching it fall. And also watching videos like yours about tiny house living. Thanks for sharing your stories.
Me too. I even went for a walk-in the snow the other day! I haven’t done that in years.
You guys sound like my husband and I. It's fun being together.
What a great team you two are.
We think so. 😀
That was great, LET IT SNOW. I can honestly say that I knew exactly what you meant. Love your channel.
Jeff

I am so pleased for both of you. May you have many, many more years together. God bless you both 💗
You lovely people! A big hug from South Africa!
So nice to see happiness. Congrats on retiring and your new life! I wish you both the best!
I pray people would do these thoughtful things for each other in Any home...I love this. God bless.
What a sweet, sweet couple you are. I always feel like I am right there with you, having a little visit. Thank you. 😊
This is so true, y'all bring your listeners right into your home or along with you guys on your travels.
(HUGS)

It was 95 today in Yuma AZ. there is plenty of room in the mobile home park I live in as most snowbirds have flown the coupe and gone back north.
Love that you are home with Elizabeth safe and warm

Happy for you! We are talking retirement soon too . We have a fifth wheel and want to travel too!
Glad your doing well Bill. Glad you can finally take it easy!
I am so happy you will make more videos! I love watching you guys and even watch old ones, repeats actually, just cause I crave wholesome entertainment!
So happy for you two and that Bill finally gets a break! Enjoy your time together!
Your place is so cozy and nice.
woo hoo! Now you get to play in the snow instead of driving in it! I'm happy to see you two doing well.
God bless you
I just love u 2 i feel peaceful knowing u dont have to drive yr truck anymore & especially when yr young lady smiles. I can feel the love of Jesus come thru.
You two make such a happy couple where is to y house kitty
God Bless you both, love Uncle Jeff!
i'm happy for you too.i want to get a tiny house too.
I like the fact you don't have to leave the house if you don't want to. My husband was also, a truck driver so I know what that life is about!!
I love the videos.🤗❤️
that's what I love about selling on ebay. I am in control of my time. Congrats on being able to enjoy the next chapter of your life.
You wonderful people are a great team:) Hugs to you and bless you both :)!!!
You can come to Florida, where our winter days can be in the 70 to 80 range. We love to meet you both in person. There is a camp ground 3 mins from my house. There in never a lack of something to see a do.
Thanks, we’ll keep it in mind.
Being self employed you have a good boss.
Yeah, you find out you're harder on yourself than anybody else!
Thank you for sharing...enjoy the snow. :)
Just came across your videos. I was in the British Army for 25 years. I think your videos are fantastic . Well done mate!!!
Woohoo! I'm so happy for the two of you! God bless! 😊
Love the Charlie Brown-type music at the end, lol.
awwww !!! that was so sweet. love picturing you all cozied in !!
Congratulations on retirement! I have 10 months till I retire, I can't wait, I can sleep in an if I don't want to leave my house, I won't. You 2 are such a awesome couple
Dill Rogerz I sure hope not! I plan on going fishing an riding my bicycle as often as I can.
so happy for u both. semi retirement is great. 😊
Congratulations! You two are too sweet! Don't worry, your not alone. When your in a small space things can get can get annoying sometimes especially when your both home. Everyone needs alone time. I swear that bird in the beginning of the video goes by my home too in upstate ny.
I am so happy for you two. God Bless both of you
Hang out and enjoy each other's company, and remember that whatever is done or not done, and how much you might think the other person is upset about something (or would be upset if he/she found out something), that he/she would rather have each other than not, for sure.
😀👍
Congrats on your new life. Follow your dream :)
I've never watched you guys. What a sweet, loving couple!
I love you two. You remind me of me and my husband. Perfectly happy together :)
