  • From an LP recorded in July 1976 released on the Vista label (VPS 1037), with the choir of Lincoln Cathedral, directed by Philip Marshall, and Roger Bryan (organ). This particular item was conducted by Roger Bryan, with Philip Marshall accompanying.
    Charles Stanford’s Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in C were written as part of his “Morning, Evening and Communion Service in C major”, op. 115, first published in 1909.

    I was singing on this recording, thank you for posting, it brings back memories! The LP was re-released as a CD called City on a Hill by Cantoris Records.

    A choir that is in unison sounds all the better, especially if they are pitch Perfect,
