Stanford’s “Evening Service in C”: Lincoln Cathedral 1976 (Philip Marshall)

From an LP recorded in July 1976 released on the Vista label (VPS 1037), with the choir of Lincoln Cathedral, directed by Philip Marshall, and Roger Bryan (organ). This particular item was conducted by Roger Bryan, with Philip Marshall accompanying.
Charles Stanford’s Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in C were written as part of his “Morning, Evening and Communion Service in C major”, op. 115, first published in 1909.
