What a treat this is!
I’ve loved this song since it was a hit for The Cyrkle!! I love it even more knowing the story behind it AND having The Seekers sing it!!! ❤☀️🔴☀️❤️
What is not known is that for nearly 10 maybe 20 years Simmon failed to give Bruce writing credits. I believe it took a few legal letters to amend the record and pay Bruce what he was owed.
This version of the song rings truer than that of the Cyrkle. The Seekers give it that touch of bitterness that the cheerful, bouncy version lacks. There is a profound sense of loss in the song. The Seekers unleash it.
The Cyrkle opened for the Beatles in Shea Stadium in 1966. This week I've watched everyone do it thru the magic of RUclips. Great song.
A phenomenal remake !!!
It not often that there is a song where Judith is not featured. She blends in very well and it is always a joy to see them perform live. Thank you.
Every good singer knows how to sing harmonies, but I must say that Durham's harmonies in this song are strikingly inventive and effective.
Wow!! What a great performance!! Wasn't expecting it to be that good live!!
I didn't know the history of this song. Thanks
RIP Judith, thank you for the music....
I’ve listened to list about 20 times in a row, I can’t get enough of it…just beautiful and their harmonies are impeccable. What a pleasure to listen to!!!
This had a painful connection for me when my husband was about to leave (20 years ago) and now I love it more than ever.
Ive always loved the groups upbeat and bright music, it’s wonderful to hear positivity in this negative world.
You all look great, too! ❤
An incredibly beautiful lady
What a completely excellent group!
Thanks Rich this song has lived the passing of time and we a blessed to have the Seekers sing it to us.
Nice song
A favorite song of the entire family 💖💖😍💖💖💖😍💖😍😍💕😍💖💖💖😍💖💖💖
I loved this song so much!!!❤
I needed this song tonight, Rich. I certainly didn't know that Paul Simon and Bruce Woodley wrote this song together. Despite the quite fierce lyrics there's gentleness and trust in life, not just that the sun will keep rising despite....the morning sun Is rising.
GREETINGS FROM THE USA THEY ARE MY ALL TIME FAVORITE GROUP ❤🇺🇸
What a band, wonderful to see them again!
Great harmonies....very well done!
Thank you rich963 for sharing this stunningly beautiful video presentation with all of us.
And Great to hear Bruce soloing.
Thank you for the upload of this fantastic song rich!!
This is an early work by the great Paul Simon!
written by Bruce Woodley of The Seekers and Paul Simon of Simon & Garfunkel
GRAN CANCION .....LINDA BANDA.....saludos desde Bogota - Columbia.......
Lovely
Great play, great find. Keep it up. Lovers of JD and the Seekers never get enough. I loved the history told, and I agree with one of the others comments that even when JD is not featured, there's no group that's better.
Gave me chills. How wonderful. Thank You!
Brilliant and thanks for posting. Love the Seekers. Judy's voice was pitch perfect.
There aren’t enough terrific words to describe this performance. At least I don’t have them. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece..Mac
WOW ..... Thank you......❤❤❤
Love Judith on that tambourine! 😍
„She played the most dangerous tambourine in town“
So wonderful how well they blend with no one dominant. Top class musicians and entertainers.
Amazing!!
I knew Paul Simon wrote it, but I was unaware of the co-author. Very nice rendition.
Me too!
Oh, and thanks so much for posting this. Lovely performance.
Rest in paradise Judith. One of the greats.
❤❤
Still choked up, June '23 uk 🇬🇧 😢
Me too❤🙏🏻
EXCELLENT!!!! I like this rendition MUCH better than the Cyrkle's. With the prospective of time, I appreciate the Seekers now more than ever.
Yeah, me too .....
❤ Malaysia
Funny how Bruce's speaking voice is raspy, but he sings the same as he did back in 1967.
Sorry Bruce but it didn't get to no. 1 in the Billboard chart in US.
Three grey haired guys that look their age and some lady in the middle who hasn't aged a day. Cough Cough!
nice one rich
