Casale Monferrato, Piedmont - northwest Italy: Visit in the Town, Nearby Attractions & Food Tips 4K

Montferrat is a historical region of Piedmont, in northern Italy, close to the most famous destinations of the Langhe and Turin.
In particular, Casale Monferrato is a so nice city, full of ancient buildings, porticoes, and historic ateliers. I recommend you visit it for its typical Italian romantic atmosphere, and for the food!
But what to visit in Casale Monferrato?
- The Castle, an imposing, hexagonal and asymmetrical structure, surrounded by a deep moat, where today exhibitions of all kinds take place.
- The Civic Tower of Santo Stefano, initially built for defensive purposes, is 60 meters high and today is the symbol of Casale Monferrato. Written documents prove the existence of the Cathedral of Casale Monferrato before the year 1000.
- Piazza Mazzini is one of the main squares of the city and, perhaps, the most beautiful, surrounded by splendid buildings.

They are the symbol of biscuits from Piedmont. And they are perfect: compact, and crumbly. The name comes from the Khumir, a warrior tribe in Tunisia. I suggest you:
