Skin Spatula? I Try an Ultrasonic Microcurrent Device! | Beauty with Susan Yara

  • I've seen a few videos going around RUclips about ultrasonic, microcurrent skin spatulas. It's a device the exfoliates the skin and helps products penetrate better, but what's really interesting is all the blackheads, whiteheads, and other gunk they extract from the skin. That's why my team and I decided to try it in this video.

    I've had a Le Mieux skin spatula for years and I love it! It was a bit pricey, but I also have a much less expensive one from QVC (Pop Sonic brand) and it works well, too. I've found the trick (for me) is to steam my face for a short time, keep it VERY wet, stroke gently a few times, then repeat with a little more pressure. It takes a few passes, before the "junk" really comes to the surface.

    I own this exact device! I think it works pretty well - especially on my forehead where i'm really oily (and where it seems like basically every pore is clogged). I have dermatillomania, so I thought this device would help me kick my obsessive skin picking...
    Unfortunately I can't use it as often as I'd like because the sound really bothers my dog! So a fair warning for those looking to try; ultrasonic sounds are really unpleasant for doggies

    My mom has oily face even if she's 58. I notice that her skin is still supple and has less wrinkles compared to people who are 10 years younger or friends of the same age. The lesson here is to love that oil because this will make your skin looks young. So stripping oil so much from your skin isn't really helpful at all.

    • @xmyxymx
      @xmyxymx 5 месяцев назад

      Agree 100%. My mum has oily skin and she has far less wrinkles than her mates at their age. I’m nearly 40 and also have had oily skin my entire life and I don’t do any procedures apart from washing and moisturising my face with occasional explfoliation and I hardly have any lines or wrinkles at all. I only have one on my forehead that only me can see lol. People keep asking me what is it that I do and if I’m going to age at all anytime soon? and I tell them I don’t go to salons, I don’t do procedures, I keep my oily skin oily and moisturised 😅 yes I put oils on my oily skin and I don’t ever get blackheads or whatever. My skin is fine the way it is. There was a point in my life when I tried keeping up with all the products and routines - my skin didn’t like it at all. I started breaking up and my skin felt super oily one day, super dry another day. And the “specialists” recommended a million other products to fix what the other products/procedures caused in the first place. So I quit this BS and kept it simple ever since - natural ingredient cleanser and moisturiser/serum - that’s it.

    Well…I saw the natural oil face in fat came out but none blackheads so it’s not a deep pore cleanse, so better use any lotion clean diary also facial scrub weekly to maintain the pores clean without extract the natural moisturiser because the procedure make your skin oil, the skin produces more oil if you take it deeply because it’s a natural protection so without the body continue produce it! Instead wash it with probiotic to maintain a healthy skin. 👍
