Thanks for making this tutorial!! I just got a laser machine and I’ve been building up my knowledge to try to make something. It’s intimidating! You make it look easier. For painting-use makeup sponges instead of paintbrush. You can use sharpie markers to touch up edges of wood if you mess up. I’ve also seen people engrave outline designs on flip flop and use paint markers to paint the design.
You're welcome! Thank you for the painting tip! Also, I am uploading a video today where I cut the earrings with a Cricut. In the new video, I go into the file and show how to make it work with 2 layers. You might find just that part interesting even though you will use a laser. Getting the file ready is the same process for both. Thanks so much for the great idea!!!
These flip flops are just way too cute!!! I really love them all but my favorites are the sunflower earrings. Thank you so very much for the tutorial. Can't wait to see the video using the Cricut. 🏵🌺🌼🌸🌻🌹🌷💐💖
Thank you so much! If you happen to have a Glowforge, I have several videos on my channel that I probably posted before you subbed. If you have any special requests, let me know.
@@kraftnheavenllc I did the same thing. I watched tons of videos for a very long time before I ended up getting one. I still watch tons of videos on crafts I don't "yet" do:) Thanks so much for watching!
I love how you reused the wood from dollar and a quarter store, great idea for wood. Love all your videos. Amazing Job. I don't have a glowforge but I have Glow tendencies, lol 😊💜
Thank you Sweet Arts! I totally understand having "tendencies". I don't have an embroidery machine, but I have a "tendency" to watch a ton of embroidery videos:) So many things I love to watch.
@@MakingwithMarilyn You will be glad to know I just got in from work and it was here, I truly love it Thanks a lot. Now I just need to get some content up so that I can get my numbers moving. I really Love this crafting team. You all teach soooo much, Thanks again for all you do
Loved the video! Don't have a GF but I'm going to try it on my Cricut. I was thinking I might use the coasters and cut them out of that. I'll come up with something!😃 Great job as always!!!!
Hello, I d/l the link file and not anything like your showing here. There are 3 parts to the FF. The toe, the strap and heel. So how did you get them to make one foot piece and strap separate. Or is it a different file set other than the linked ones. Thanks.
No, it is the link that I included. I made this video a long time ago, but I probably duplicated the entire design and then welded it all together to get the base. Then the strap was made out of the strap part of the file. Does this make sense?
Thank you! These pairs are 2.4 inches tall and 1.0 inch at the widest point. They are nice and big earrings. The ones I am making with my Cricut are going to be a bit smaller. I did them at 2.25 inches tall (not sure the width, but I kept the same proportions).
These are so cute 🥰 your voice is so relaxing while explaining lbs some creators be talking fast n at times i be like um what did you say 😂 you don’t sell these as blanks do you?? As i see this was made 2 years ago I’d love to buy some! 😊
Thank you very much for the feedback on the video. My voice makes me cringe, but I think it's normal to not love your own voice. I don't do a lot of sales that have to be mailed but how many pairs were you thinking?
@@MakingwithMarilyn 10-20 pairs few acrylic mirror i believe you had but mostly sublimation preferred is that a bit much lol and zip 55386 if that helps!
Miss Marilyn I just love these flip flops! They turned out beautiful!…can I ask a question? I saw on 755 Media’s channel the beautiful paint palette pendants you made. Were those sublimated? They were so cute!!!
Thank you Cynthia! Yes, the pendants were sublimated onto a product called Unisub Hardboard Panel. It's actually the same material that I used for most of the laser cut flip flop earrings.
Those are summer!
Going to make some myself! Great inspiration!
Thank you so much!!!
THEY ALL ARE CUTE BUT THAT 3RD SET IS REALLY NICE.

Where do you buy your acrylic? Glowforge is so expensive do you know of anywhere cheaper?
Here is the rose gold acrylic used in this video. I got it from Amazon. amzn.to/3OcQS7n
Thanks for the tutorial and these are too adorable!. What is the name of the hooks you put on the earrings?
Tracey
There are several color options, but here is the link. I ordered the silver stainless steel ones. amzn.to/3JQVgXg
