A love story that is only a love story from one person's perspective. Creepy and dread-inducing. Love it. I'm guessing people who say this is romantic haven't really understood the implications or haven't gotten to the end.
In some ways, it reminds me of a short story of Frederic Brown's (whose work I am also a tremendous fan of)-- and yet, though the Frederic Brown story was written from the point of view of a murderer and addressing the person about to put down the book, I find this one far more chilling. (and at the same time, funnier as well, even though with every passing titter, I feel more and more like something terrible is about to come and suck the laughter right out of me)
the most concerning part about this isn't the ageless statue baring their soul to someone who doesn't know they feelings and can't be sure of reciprocation but the fact that Kevin Spacey was on close proximity

That was wonderful, especially after having read Amanda's book (the whole 'seeing eachother' idea comes across veeerrryyyy differently here).
Somehow Neil Gaiman makes this living statue creeper adorable and arkward, how neil? teach me your ways ...
It's creepy and funny? HOW
it's like if one of the Weeping Angels felt it was time for a long term relationship
Saw him read this in Birmingham AL. I'm so glad I could find this

Damn, almost 7 years ago. And the book only came out two years back.

That was so good

Wow, that was disturbing.
A "Jazz Poet" for a modern age...
HOly shit. I'm not okay.
I wish this were for me, sigh.
Neil’s gift for making creepiness relatable and even awkwardly adorable is not going to age well. 😕😕😕
