Recently picking up a hook again after a lapse of many years, would just like to thank you once again for showing me so many handy tips+tricks. And for providing me with a source of constant inspiration. ❤
Your tip on using a smaller hook size than the one recommended and skipping the chain 1 between clusters, to create sturdier granny squares is truly the best! I discovered the former myself but I'm trying it with the latter from now on. I love granny squares but depending on the yarn they can be too flimsy, so your tip is perfect.
Thank you a million times for the links to other crocheters! What a perfect vid for this time of year when we are getting ready to make things for the holidays. TFS!
The best thing I learned from you, Robin, was to turn your granny square after each round, it makes such a big difference, thanks for that specific tip♥
@ sorry should have been more clear it to the granny square pouch with the zipper. Love it so much going to make a few for my co workers for Christmas.
@ ohhh got it. Yes, absolutely. Make it to what ever size you like. If using a zipper, your goal will be to make it align with the length of it. Also , be sure to check out the alternative liner video that i added at the end of that video and in the description box. I discovered a Devon way that you might like better . 💕🧶
Great tip of skipping the chains to make the granny tighter. I like granny squares for dishcloths, so I’m going to start doing that. Also LOVE the heart-center granny! How cute! Thank you for the unique ideas! 🧶
Thank you so much for your fabulous ideas. You are such a lovely person. Can you share and give such inspiration. God bless you and have a wonderful holiday season, to come

@@vbrooker1 I didn’t think I did till seeing some of Robins and a couple others. Turns out I just don’t like granny square with the big gaping holes for fingers and toes to be stuck in when waking up. And I’m not the only one. But very interested in making some of Robin’s
It was lovely to see a video of my home city Plymouth UK taken from the Hoe! Lots of history there. Thanks for all these ideas. I don't do much crochet though I love making crochet baby booties. I may have a go at those slippers, I can never find shop bought ones with high enough instep for my huge feet! I love seeing your cats supervising your work!
Thank you so much Robin for sharing your expertise. Have recently learned from a tutorial how to crochet and having lots of fun with my squares. Have a great day. Ann
Thank You for sharing these ideas. I was visiting my sister and she asked if I’ve ever made a pillow cover guess what she’s getting for Christmas!?!😊 Thanks to Biscuit for another great idea!
Granny to Infinity and a wallhanging are on my to do list. Love your channel, your clear communication and always showing new ideas. Thanks so much for all you do for us. 🙂
Great video, I love granny squares! I have made lots of these ideas in the past but slippers and a laptop sleeve are on my list now. I make granny square cat mats every month and donate them to my local shelter. Snoopy and Biscuit are adorable!
@@PlayHookywithMe I mostly just use acrylic DK or Aran (I'm in the UK) and do a continuous traditional granny square until it gets to about 20 inches. I have fun trying out different colour combinations. I tie them with string and add a label as my local shelter sell them. My own cats love everything I make them, lol. They have several small blankets, mostly squares but I made a granny rectangle for their carry basket and I even made them a granny star blanket. I do want to try a cat or paw print design using C2c though, I think that would be cute!
Good morning Roz😊 Thank you for so many wonderful ideas. I adore granny squares. I have been wanting to try the granny cardigan. I am working on Christmas presents and crocheting baubles right now. Not sure if you are aware, but the reason your cat is laying on that square granny square is because the shape of it. If you don’t believe me, put some painters tape on your floor. Shape it into a square box. You will be amazed how much time your cat spends inside of that square of tape.
@@PlayHookywithMe that I have no idea. But whenever my husband and I had a tortoiseshell tabby, we tested that after we saw it online. Sure enough, she like to curl up inside of that square of tape. She also like to lay inside of a water bottle box. She would slip in to the small opening, whenever several bottles have been taken out. Some thing about it would comfort them.
