Coronado is an extremely developed and gated beach community located on Panama’s Pacific coast line. Coronado has been a popular beach getaway for Panamanians for years and has an established and thriving expat population. It has been said that Coronado has the 2nd largest expat outside of Boquete.

I don't actually dislike Panama, but after reading some of the comments made by expats to other expats, am having second thoughts about retirement in Panama and even being around expats.

In some ways it's like Miami, except you got a nice landscape of mountains in the background. Oh, and you don;t have to put up with Hurricanes either. XD Also, if you are thirsty for some coconut water, you can stop on the side of the road and the vendor will grab an ice cold coconut, chop the top off with their machete, stick a straw into it and when you're done drinking it all you hand it back to them and they will chop it in half and cut you a sliver off the side which you can use as a spoon to scoop out the coconut meat. Yum! But when I was in Miami, I stopped at a coconut vendor and they handed me a coconut without opening it I gave it back and asked, aren't you gonna cop it open for me. And they said, no, sorry, I ain't got a weapons license to use a machete. I said: WHAT? And that was supposed to be "land of the free"? ANd yet, in Panama nobody has ever heard of a machete massacre. Go figure!

Also, too, I was looking into purchasing a home in the Las Uvas de San Carlos Area and I was looking for videos that could give me more information on what that area is like as I plan to visit in October.

Hello! I just discovered your channel and watched a couple videos from earlier in the year. Very informative and colorful. David in particular for me. However there are two areas not covered that are significant priorities for me.
1) Apartments. All the rentals shown were homes. I do not want the upkeep;
2) public transportation. There was information about driving distance but nothing about busses, taxis, or availability of UBER. In your next video can you cover these topics? Thanks!😊

I'm trying to figure out which community I would want to live in. I think that this video narrows my decision. I have mobility issues myself and I think that these areas seem to be OK for me. Might not be able to walk out to the water but, I'm ok with that thank you for this video

@@AbroadAbility How hot and humid is Coronado? Is it worse then Miami year round? Can you live there without a car and have amenities close by, easy for older folks? In Panama do they have or enforce building and safety codes on the condos? For the structures, gas tanks, elevators etc ? Thanks.
Hello, and thank you for sharing your experiences in Panama. I use a large Power scooter and I am on crutches, so I am very concerned about how I would be able to operate and get around when trying to enter buildings and using the Public restrooms Being solo.
Please share with me what my experience might be like. I’m sure you’ve already done a video on it. I’ve just not been able to find it. However, I am binge watching many channels on expats in Panama.

all the good spots are taken in panama. a wind swept endless beach is not for me.

We got an office in San Juan del Sur NI. It has a lot to offer, but many fear another political battle, like in 2018. We will soon release son videos about Nicaragua with information about immigration, real estate, and international moving
