John 6:56 (NKJV) He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. This verse is related to the communion in the New Covenant. Is there a supernatural aspect in taking communion, the bread and the cup? I am wondering if there is something more to it than the "remembrance only", of the sacrificial death of the Son of God.
@@patrickmendis Absolutely. Eating his flesh and drinking his blood signifies not only remembering him in the taking of the elements in communion, but also living moment by moment with him as our vital life source. We commune with him physically in the sacrament of communion with the bread and the wine. Additionally, we can commune with him spiritually in the holiness of oneness in spirit (1 Cor. 6:17) that we have with him by crucifying our flesh which allows him to live his life through us, and by appropriating his continual blood cleansing through faith. Hallelujah!
I know I'm not the vine. I'm lucky to be a twig. Might seem weird but I felt God let me know that you are the one to listen to. I never experienced that before. A quick question. What is the good fruit? Like being able to behave? Being able to do good things? Anyway I'm all in but gonna have to practice this lesson!
@@CheedrSkeedr Galatians 5:22-23 lists the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness and self-control. The more you seek and surrender to the Lord making him your first priority, the more this fruit will manifest in your life. It’s his fruit! So you can’t manufacture it. He will bear it through you naturally over time as you focus on him and follow by faith. Like a seed planted inside you that grows in God’s timing. But you can forget about the fruit and just focus on him and he will take care of that issue for you.
