    I was wondering why you didn't just slide the battery cable from the battery itself? I feel that would have been easier and no tools necessary to remove the cable.

    So did it not load as fast because the old drive had a faster "read/write" speed?

    • @TroveOasis
      @TroveOasis  4 месяца назад

      Hello! Yes, this is the reason it doesn't load as fast.
      The 2400 is also a QLC drive vs the SN740 being a TLC drive, which means the data is more densely packed into the same amount of NAND chips. The 2400 has to spend more effort when doing random reads and writes of large game data.

      We didn't need to use a keyboard during the recovery

    When you do cloud recovery once its installed and you in windows do you have to download manualy armory crate or is downloaded with the recovery ? Thanks

    • @TroveOasis
      @TroveOasis  8 месяцев назад

      Armoury Crate or its installer should already be downloaded by Cloud Recovery when it is complete. No need to manually download it from the ASUS ROG website.

    How is it performing after 4 months?

    • @TroveOasis
      @TroveOasis  6 месяцев назад

      Still performing well up to now. Most of my games are now installed on the SSD.

    Boss i already have a games. Installed do i need to download again if i upgrade my ssd. ?

    • @TroveOasis
      @TroveOasis  9 месяцев назад

      Depends on the launcher you get your games from. The method in this video creates a full reinstall of Windows of the Ally. Steam is the easiest to migrate, games can be moved to an external drive before upgrading the SSD, then moved to the new SSD after Cloud Recovery.

      I haven’t experienced this issue myself, so I wouldn’t be able to verify if these solutions work, but I have found online that holding down the volume down button during power on may help. You can also try correcting the system time if it is wrong. Hope these work for you.

    Rog ally is trash! 45 minutes to an hour if you're lucky! Isn't worth a 2tb update

    • @jimmycarpenter6612
      @jimmycarpenter6612 11 месяцев назад

      I consistently get closer to 2 hours. Not that it matters because I mostly use it at home so I can plug it in any time I want. I use it like a switch. Docked to my TV and can use it handheld if someone wants to use the TV

    • @Introversitive
      @Introversitive 8 месяцев назад

      Same here. I play a game for like 45 minutes to an hour with all the settings turned down or off like bluetooth and every other unnecessary Windows features for a handheld, but I still don't get very good battery life. I love the device, but this thing's battery life is a joke.

      The battery is what stops this device from being great.

      Portable 65w charger triples the battery life if you travel with it.
