You are definitely going through a bacterial bloom on the young tank. because you changed the filters, you should dose with Prime and Stability for a few days to avoid an an ammonia spike. Prime will help to keep the ammonia detoxified and the Stability will help boost the beneficial bacteria that will keep your tank cycled and consume the ammonia. I also see that you didn't have any sponge material in the filter that you took off which is probably why did didn't look like it was doing anything...unless you had another tray below that you didn't show. I think you should avoid adding additional fish for a couple weeks just to let things settle down otherwise you'll be throwing away your hard earned money if your cycle crashes before it has a real chance to establish. I've been there adding too many fish in a short time and it wasn't great at all. Also make sure you have that Master Test Kit and test regularly for the next few weeks...it will save you a headache and your fish. Welcome to the hobby...its a great one to be in.

How old is your setup? It looks like you're having a bacteria bloom.

Why do you say that? Tank isn’t even a month old filters are brand new.

@@Beating.The.Banks03 the cloudy water is the sign of a bacteria bloom. My opinion you should have left the old filter on and added the hang on back and the bubbler. Being that you removed all of your beneficial bacteria. Your tank has to start all over. Have you checked for amonia before changing your filters?

@@bjg6775 yea I definitely should have I didn’t think about the tank having to start all over. Explains why everyone seemed really stressed. I have checked everything since then and everything is good and on point and fish are happy and swimming happily now!

@Beating.The.Banks03 what was happening in your tank was actually a good thing. It's part of the nitrogen cycle. You were starting to develop good bacteria. Look up the nitrogen cycle. Keep a close eye on your fish and check your amonia levels.

How long have your tank been set up you should not clean your tank to much it will take out all of the good bacteria just keep your glass clean
