  • I bought these from 110 Technik UK some while back and have only just got around to fitting them. There are a few minor niggles but all are overcome.

Just got some of these for my G Wagon. Looks like you may have inadvertently put these on backwards, according to the Abenteuer 4x4 website, these rock sliders are designed so that their logo is at the front end of the slider right behind the front wheel, not at the rear wheel. Maybe that's why your rear wheel flares don't quite match up with the slider.

It makes no difference, they are identical back and front. I measured them and when conversing with the company about the fit they said it makes no difference. At least on a Land Rover may be different on a G wagon.

Just curious, your new parts are somewhat close fitting to the door travel as I see it in the video. It looks rather neat and trim. What I wonder about is this. If at some point your in a bind and there is torsional flex on the frame and body due to this bind...will the doors still open given the close tolerances?

No idea! But. I’m sure if it’s twisted that much at least one door will open!

Edit: How are you liking the rock sliders? I'm considering some black anodized ones for mine as my steps are starting to rust severely and the plastics are just completely torn to pieces.

Sorry, edited that comment because I noticed it had the rear tub. It looked like a 110 SW the way it was filmed :).
Are you liking the rock sliders? I'm 23, so getting in and out is a breeze at the moment, so that shouldn't be a problem...

Hi Gary, i just wanted to say, that the area you are struggling with at the front crossmember look like mine defender. Abenteuer4x4 send me a assembly description with pictures. And the part that you cut of is also visible in de manual. But they did not cut of anything.

It was the same with my instructions but I still had to cut it off!

Ok- lets see how it will fit to my defender. Thanks for taking time to make the video and answer the comments. 👍🏻

Last question. Is the cut of part made of steel or aluminium?
