@@Simnettnutrition You also said that you're 1/2 British and that haggis is believed to have been invented by the British then taken by the Scottish. But Scotland is a part of Britain. Britain is the island which consists of the countries England, Wales and Scotland. The entire country is called The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I think people get confused and refer to English people as Brits. But really anyone from England, Scotland or Wales is British.
I really like how you did this...you went on a trip and found a meal worth playing with at home...and you experimented and showed us how to make it. Aloha for the contribution.
I made this recipe during winter and it was a big hit. The leftovers were so good that I decided to make it tonight to serve tomorrow for dinner. 😀 The following day all the flavours has “married” so well together - it absolutely enhance the taste which was as oreads sounds delicious. Thanks so much for this recipe - I followed it except that I omitted the stock - I used water and maybe fewer raisins.
Just made the haggis and potato dish. It was really good. The raisins were definitely a good add. I wanted to say thank you for your videos. A few months back, I was really having a hard time switching to WFPB, trying to make my old dishes without meat wasn’t working. I kept missing the meat. But your videos taught me how to create delicious bowls and how to look for the right recipes. And topping it all with a wonderful sauce is key! Now I love eating this way! Keep up the videos.
Love your channel buddy! Been going plant-based the last month and I gotta say, I feel the absolute best I ever have in my life! Love all of your recipes and training you post! Thanks so much! Looking forward to watching many more videos!! You rock buddy!!
That looks delish! I can smell it through my screen. Will definitely be giving this a try, but will make some vegan gravy with it. I love me some gravy! Yes, please do some recipes from the book. We love your recipes.
I enjoy eating haggis and have even tried the barley version. I eagerly made this version and loved it. It tasted even better the following day. Thanks a lot.
Waiting patiently for your next ebook :). From your first book....have made your baked tofu more then once ( yum!) and of course your sauces. Thanks for keeping it simple, full of flavor and clear! Also....the stir fry with lentils.....is a go to. This coming year....will drop oils and see how it goes. Baby steps. Happy holidays.
Never in my life have I thought haggis sounded like a good idea, until now! That actually looked so good! Also, the outtakes at the end had me rolling! You guys are so funny 😂
Interesting recipe. I never have wanted to try haggis before but now that you have made a plant-based version I think I might try it. the idea of eating vegetables cook this way is not nearly as gross as eating the real thing. Thanks so much!
I know. It was never on my radar either, but it is quite good like this. No idea how it compares to the real thing though. Haha, maybe someone in the comments will let us know.
I am really excited to try this recipe. I am new to both vegetarian and Vegan diets. We are trying to move in that direction. I am very excited about your recipes!
This looks so good, thanks for sharing. I always love your recipes and sauces. I wish you would look into making a hard copy book, I don't like e-books. I'd love to have your recipes all in one place and be able to use an actual book in the kitchen. I know I'd be willing to pre order and wait if you could make it happen. I love you guys, your videos always brighten my day 😁❤
Thanks for the haggis recipe, I will try it , but you have so many wonderful recipes and relevant nutritional information, have you ever thought of writing a cookbook? Please think about it.
Thank you for making a healthier Simnett Nutrition version. I'd love more healthy versions of the other recipes in the book. BTW, I bought your great ebook but prefer printed versions of cookbooks, so I printed & stapled your ebook but a bound book would be so much better. I hope your 2nd book will eventually have a printed copy version.
Love the videos man, you've helped me out a ton on my journey. your toast with avocado and mustard and also your dates with peanut butter are delicious and my new favorite snacks
That looks great. Thanks so much! I'm definitely making it tomorrow. PLEASE make the Moussaka. I'd love to see how they do it. It's definitely one of the things I miss most since I went to whole plant foods.
This is up my husbands alley. I’ll have to make the haggis and clapshot this week. Also I love the music in this vid. Went from Christmas to a Celtic jam... haha! So awesome. Clap shot sounds good just another way to elevate mashed taters.
That's great! Yah the music. Ugh. I spend so long looking through music only to just settle on whatever works. It's not an easy thing to find music that matches the vibe of the video but isn't distracting.
I aurally superimposed you having a Scottish accent when you said "I like that". Haha. Definitely going to try this out! I use garam masala often but not this combo and there was definitely no slapshot, I mean clapshot, in any of my recipes. Yes please make more from this book! The vegetable strudel on the previous page looked interesting even! Another awesome video D!
@@Simnettnutrition I have just seen that you're going to be attending vegan camp out next year. I'm so pumped! Can't wait to see you there. This year's was awesome!
Hi Derek! Thank you for your awesome videos, recipes and other great content!! I was wondering if you ever had an injury specifically, leg. My 13 yr old son has a sprained ACL and I’m just looking for motivation for him so he can gain confidence that he will be back to sports and his active lifestyle. I will be showing him the game changers doc. Thanks again for all you do!
Found this video last night and made it today. I love it! I have been trying to go vegan, but hard when you have to cook crap food for everyone else. With your videos I got this!
Scotland is a country not a city lol
🙊 Oooops, so embarrassing. Haha, Edinburgh. Thanks.
No worries! Next time you're in Edinburgh try the restraunt 'harmonium' really good in there :D
Canada is such a nice city too.

I have omitted the raisins and have subbed pearl barley for the oat groats and it's fantastic! Thank you!
From a fellow Canadian to another, thank you so much for your work and your channel, I watch it for encouragement to stick to WFPB!

In Scotland when they say turnips (“neeps”), they mean what you probably call swede. It’s the big orange one. 🙂
was going to say this :)
I think North America knows swede as rutabaga
