I went to the Final MOTTE concert in Taipei and I really loved his speech. It felt so genuine, sincere, and heartfelt. Like he was sad that it ended but at the same time relieved that he was able to successfully complete the tour without major issues. It was a last minute decision to fly to Taipei but it was so worth it.💛👑

This was filmed in 2017, and lots of people were worried about Ji because he seemed lonely and sad, as you said, and many people thought he had depression. The only times he seemed really happy was when he was with his members and friends, and when he was performing. Also, TOP was probably apologising for not being able to attend GD's concert, as it was just after he was sadly hospitalised. The MOTTE Act III tour was and still is the biggest solo tour performed by a Korean.

please watch bigbang predebut documentary and 2n1's as well, you would get a grasp of how tough the environment 2nd gen kpop groups growing up with, especially compare with what 3&4 gen groups have. 2nd gen is really an epic era, not only with those amzing groups but the fandoms back then were way less toxic then what are now. famdoms used to support each other groups' comeback. i still remember when top laying unconscious in hostipal, elf, snad, and several other 2 gen fandoms standed with vips praying for top.

The first time it happened, it was a rumour back when they had just started if I am not wrong. Not anything recent. What happened in the documentary was that Top overdosed on two type of prescribed medication while Top was in the military service. There was a lot of pressure and emotions going on personally with G going into this tour because of Top's medical and other issues. G was so emotional and worn out through this whole tour, you will see him getting progressively worse the longer it goes on. They were friends from middle school and like brothers I imagine it had to be terribly hard for all of them, during this time period. I mean he had to start this tour a mere days after Top was in a coma and we were not sure whether he would make it.
About the bag he was decorating, even more cool was he was painting drawing and adding all that stuff to like a 2000+ $ Chanel bag, lol.
Jiyong is not your typical idol, he's an artist. He reminds of Beyonce. Their talent, drive, passion is beyond inspirational.

2017 is one of the toughest years for them. Top was involved in the marijuana scandal. he got stress and taking too much anti depresants until he unconscious in hospital for a weeks. At that time bigbang was in the midst of hatred and bad views of the korean public. And that issue was so close to the gd album released. So you can imagine how depressed they are especially ji with that conditions
GD was extremely stressed. From April to date of the Seoul concert, he was finalizing the album, tour rehearsals, BB fanmeetings in Japan, shooting a MV in LA, TOP overdosing.

TOP got in weed scandal. All of korea was hating on him. He got kicked out the military and moved to public service. TOP has extreme anxiety and had an overdose accident and ended up hospitalized. This was during this time when GD was gonna have his first show in Seoul.
Thats why he asked Taeyang if he visited TOP inside ( The Hospital) and Taeyang said yes. TOP must have felt guilty and kept apologizing to his members. That's why GD said he got the texts but didnt reply bc TOP kept apologizing.
