When tire death ring appear, sanding it not speed up the tire broken?

Sanding the death ring to remove fuzziness extends the useful grip of the tyre. The tyre itself does not break any quicker. When the death ring appears you know the tyre will fail soon but sanding the edges ensures it works well until death.

I've just used a set of volante 28s and 32s and they weren't nearly as sticky out of the packet as those sweep 40s!? Insane! Would you say sweep 36/40 are the best tyre available in aus for victorian asphalt 21.5 TC? Haven't been happy with the GQ tyres I've tried and volante seem to last a very short time :(

Yes, we think they are! The 40s have recently been selected as the tyre of choice by the Bendigo club due to their high performance and long lifespan.
