For my generation, Eliot is, or as you said, arguably could be, that most important poet. But I have seen younger readers, approaching his work for the first time, for whom it simply doesn’t resonate, and I find myself at a loss to explain the reason.
@@ShinMadero That is wonderful. I love the _Quartets_ best but I’ve never separated one part out from the others, and I believe he did consider them each distinct works.

I'm 27 and sometimes read poetry to help my songwriting. I've found sections of Eliot's Burnt Norton so beautiful and inspirational.
