Tell your dad his TEDx Talk has real subtitles now (not the auto-generated kind). Hope we did an ok job. And other languages will start to turn up. Not sure what your dad will feel about that though. Poetry is almost untranslatable.

@@amandachu7131 you can only translate poetry to those who hold loose definitions of the words. it'd be easier thru memes lol

Absolutely brilliant talk. So beautiful to look at life from a better perspective and our relationship to time. Makes me realise how many times I’ve burnt my frog skin, but no more! Thank you Mr Leonard.

This was my professor at the University of Toronto. His lectures were all truly amazing and so life-changing, I was inspired to pursue an English minor just so I could continue taking his courses.

I’ve written a poem a day for the last two years.
    I recommend it.

Entertaining and engaging intellectual stimulation by my favorite professor from Colby College circa 1985-86.

i love the way he used poetry and shakespeare as evidence for his argument. literature gets so overlooked for the power that it holds

Just found myself watching this wonderful lecture. Who is this guy? How come I've never come across him? Thank you, Garry Leonard, for your insights and eloquence and for your humour, and for bringing in those reluctant poets...

I have to write a poem as an assignment this Friday, and this really helped me think about the perspective you have to have in writing; that you will not make a good piece if you are not passionate about it. I think I am going to go to Uof T for uni.

the whole thing seemed a bit convoluted (seriously, see how long it takes you to comment what you learned from this). I get the thing about time (sort of) but the fairytale and everything else, im not sure how it connects. I'll have to watch this again lol
