- i decided to try and sell an old PC that I threw together with a couple of old components featured in previous reviews. Here's what happened.
Thanks for watching :)
"Ultra powerful gaming PC, featuring Intel Core i7 and fast Nvidia GeForce Graphics and speedy SSD, for $600"
Reality:
- Flashy looking $40-50 case
- Cheap PSU + Mobo
- 4gb RAM
- First gen i7
- GT 610
- 8gb SSD
M8 even first gen i7 is pretty good...
The real pizza boy 8gb ssd? xD
IMNOTA They're still ok but Haswell+ or Ryzen are way better options.
In France we have Vibox on Amazon it's this
+The real pizza boy obviously, but if you have the right chipset mobo and gen i7 its a good pretty cheap way to build a budget pc
Sign it and I would pay 50
*buys it*
*throws everything but the case where his signature is*
*jerks off of it*
Idaho Custom Computer This.
If you were to get it I'd have to pay a visit to your shop;) I'm in Boise
I'd pay $100
Varun Gandhi my right leg goes numb
It's weird how exponential the growth of this channel has been. Been here since 1.3k subs, and that was less than a year ago!
It really is crazy how fast it's happening
Good content for us budget Pc gamers, no long annoying intros, no clickbait and no garbage thumbnails. This channel is the resistance among the tech channels. This one and Tech Yes City are my favorite PC Gaming/Tech channels.
Well said, Victor.
I like how it's just one guy sharing what makes him happy with other people. A simple channel that's honest with its viewers, very refreshing.
Thanks for all the content RGHD. If I have the spare cash I'd send you my old Q6600/4GB/8800GT system to review. the 2007 value king!
Check out tech deals it's also pretty good
You look like you're doing a public service announcement when you're on the laptop in that backyard.
SarcasticDragon Gaming Eventually he's going to say, "This is not a test, stay in your home".
Bikerchris remain calm
I'm trying, it's difficult as I've lost the keys to my Nuclear bunker...I'll check down the back of the sofa again :-/
Especially with the washing hanging in the background
If he knew it was the lengendary RGinHD he would have offered $200 for it!
This ain't linustechtips Scrapyard wars...
BlackOzoNe haha but he is still a great RUclipsr!
I know, he is my fav too but :(
lmao and the fuel fee too :(
he said he delivered it for free so it didnt cost anything in fuel lol :p
Deek Douglas Are you high?
Deek Douglas it cost him fuel to drive the PC to the other dudes area.. yes he delivered it for free meaning he didn't charge money from the other guy to drive it to him and show the PC.
RemuCSGO section 4 paragraph 20. im not at liberty to divulge such information on the internet ;)
He pretty much made no profit lol
Used "IBuyPower" PC, max 1989 settings. BUY NOW!!!!
TBH mate if you genuinely want rid of some of your older gear, set up an ebay shop and post the link in your description. I'm sure a lot of people would trust you and buy stuff off of you rather than random people.
Adam NRG But if subscribers would buy it, they'd pay more than its value because it's a RUclipsr's item. Would probably sell near $100!! It'd ruin the project
Mo Akashi
Who in their right mind would pay 100 for this pc?
Actually, that's a great idea!
Jesus Because it's a RUclipsr's item. It's extra special ;)
Do buy it now only then .
5$ for your car's fuel
thanks for so much likes guys
no problem
4:16 Need to turn the Bloom effect off. So i can get a decent frames in this video.
that might pay for the gas you used
Sold for $11 free shipping, Lmao 😂
ProtoMario hey proto.
Never thought I'd see you here.
BUUUUT PROTO
lmao😀
I'd pay max £50 cause you're worth it. I'd love to have it.
I once sold an old working computer (Pentium3) for $15, it stopped working 6months later and the woman came back and wanted her money back. I was shocked (I didn't remember her,she told me that she had bought it off of me 6months previously for $15), I gave her the $15, she gave me the computer back, turns out the video card died, I put in another video card and sold it again.
That was a cool video and a change of pace. Very nice keep em coming bro :)
If you were in america you probably would get shot after driving this PC to the man's house.
I've delt with dozens of people on Craigslist, both driving to their house as well as letting them drive to mine, and have never had an issue.
Same, I've been selling cars, PC stuff and musical equipment on Craigslist for years. It's fairly common for people to want to try out an item at my house, or have me bring it to them. Never once had an issue with anyone on Craigslist.
relax guys, it was a joke
As an American, I can say I have been selling cars and pcs on craigslist for a year. I've had no problems yet. And your joke wasn't really that bad. It gave me a twinge of accuracy. Because I live in the south and everybody is fucking strapped.
also Your video is bad......... You have a great username.
na really common selling/trading used item, never had problem and i live i new york.
Holly crap, what a beautiful garden you have! I will work on mine after finishing a cup of coffee and watching this video. Greetings from Lithuania!
More vids like this! I'd love to see how this goes on with your other builds too.
The profit was the joy of all your viewers watching this video. Great video once again, thanks and God Bless..
i agree with you in the point of beeing honest, really very important to tell the buyer what he is really getting when buying a product
Nice yard, look at that hedge.
This video was quite different from the usual stuff and I loved it
Keep up the good work for your channel, and I will always enjoy your content.
This is what i call Ørįgīãńł Çöńtėñt , Nice job , Keep up!
Retro gamers would love to get their hands on this. Reusing old parts keeps computer hardware prices reasonable. Recycling also keeps things economical.
Cool Bro! You just taught me how to sell my old "gaming" PCs, Keep up the work and sell all your PCs and buy new parts and games
This was great, a real rollercoaster of emotion. He would have bought it if you had been filming it, surely, Big Brother and all.
I remember buying a system back in the day that had a 7600GT. I was coming from an old pentium 4 system that had an FX 5200 card that couldn't run oblivion even at the minimum settings. Going from that to the new system was absolutely incredible.
your garden is beautiful.
Gah, watching this gave me PTSD. You drove multiple towns over just for the guy to say nah. That alone is bad, but it reminds me of all of the Craigslist sales I've tried to deal with. I've had so many people ask to meet me somewhere, I drive out to meet them, and they never show up. No call, text, they just vanish. The worst time was I drove 3 towns over, waited for the guy for 30 minutes, he said he just got out of work and was on his way. I was selling an i7 4790 for $200 so I figure the couple extra minutes wait is worth the money I'd be getting so I waited. another 30 minutes go by, still doesn't show up. almost 1 and a half hours of waiting and a 30 minute trip two ways, I head back home. He texts me later that night saying "sorry i couldn't make it can you meet me tomorrow" I told him I wasn't going to drive all the way out there again, then he gets really pissy and entitled and asks "ok well can you knock off a few dollars for gas if i drive out there and meet you" dfjsalfjsdal motherfucker.
Number one rule for people selling online, set a safe location near you. If people are serious about buying they will come to you and are more likely to buy. Also, as some who sells refurbished PC mostly laptops I try not to meet at my home unless it's a desktop, and I rarely deliver and only as long as it's with in ten minutes travel for me. Rule number two is never hold more than an hour or two, if the can't come in that time I tell them to contact me when they are ready to meet or if I set a time the next day with them I don't hold it if there is a buyer that will come before then.
I have found that people that are unwilling to come to you are more likely to leave you setting or not buy and some people will ask to hold it are more likely to change there mind.
I tend to not drive to people's house's to sell something. Meet at a local place. Less chance of them turning you down, because they actually show motivation by meeting you somewhere else. Not to mention it's much safer to meet in a public place. I have sold many things in front of a pharmacy in the middle of the city, because it's always lit up.
Never had an issue and the funny thing is that it was mostly police officers I sold to. They were very happy to meet there because they understood being safe about it.
Hey man, don't know if you'll see this but I just wanted to say congratulations on your growth over the past several months! I remember you having just a couple thousand subs and now you're over 150K! It's only a matter of time before you can live comfortably off this stuff and that's awesome.
Anyways, congrats again and hope you keep up with the quality content!
How can you tell the motherboard is dying?
Your backyard is so relaxing.
the problem with Australia. 50% expected price drop and consumer confidence for "used" parts(taken out of the box) and each point of sale(second hand/ third hand). $20 minimum postage.
thus:
$20(10P to AUD)/2 - $20 = -$10
original price: $20
profit: -$30 for a sale which would be highly tedious if not impossible.
5 pounds of profit, enough to pay the gas for the first guy. A profit of a grand total of 0 bucks :p
Well, at least he had fun with that PC, and he's earning some bucks from the videos he made about it
And then yesterday he announced he was forced to refund it :( -£8 profit.
Your garden and the owls in the background is so British
Love the video, with the way everything is set up it kinda reminds me of a Wheeler Dealer's episode XD
youtube unsubbed me from you, I was wondering why I stopped getting post notifications from you for a while. Glad to see that they are back in my subscription box.
You could have lied ans gotten more but i appreciate your authenticity.
I really appreciate your integrity and honesty. Keep up the good work dude ✌️
Imagine the petrol cost to visit that other dude should negate any profit you made though?
i really liked this video!!! I hope you do another video like this. I wish sellers were as responsible as you, and give specific benchmarks. He should have bought it. Please make more videos like this one!!!
Where can I download Need for speed underground 2 from legaly without getting any kind of virus?
I played it on a emulator
Emulator?
Google PCSX2. Emuparadise.me should have the other needed items. You could also use Dolphin as the emulator if you want to go the gamecube route.
Lafika???
piratebay and read comments, see if the uploader is trusted or a vip.. oh wait... legaly, huh? hmm....
I have mad respect for you mate. good video!
This is a very interesting style of video. It is like a 'how to' video for selling things legitimately online xD
when this 10$ pc is better than your 90$ pc bought 3 months ago,agh i wish i found ur channel earlier
Selling that PC brings up another question...
Should I sell my RX 480 for the miners? I've worked almost 2H 2016 to get one and I'd hate to resell it for what it can do...
you could sell that card and get a 1060 or even a 1070 if you're lucky
If it's an 8GB RX 480, they're selling for £100-200 more than they were about a month ago, I was split between getting a 6GB GTX 1060 or an 8GB RX 480, and in the end got the 6GB 1060, cause it was about £20 cheaper, now theyr'e going for between £300 and £500 depending on manufacturer. I thought with the RX 580 out now, the 4xx series would go DOWN in price, to get rid of any old stock, so businesses would have room for 580's they could sell, but no.
Hey, Could you try and build a home surver for £50? One that could run media and do 1080p video streaming on a TV, as well as be able to back up files and photos. Maybe 1tb?
careful with recording while driving as they have video proof you took your eyes off the road mate.
Loved this video for some weird reason, and here's an idea inspired by it.
- Try making some good bargains (you'll need Charisma 16+) for used parts,
- Make the budget pc of the month video! (part 1)
- Try selling for profit or at least to break even the pc, with a video like this (part 2)
- End of the year video? Best & Worst build +christmas gift/budget guide with new parts :P
Doesn't that sound like a nice risky adventure? eheh!
I would love to see the same thing with a mid range pc and maybe some components.
Do you ever wonder..... what is life...... and why are we here....... or when will I crack open a cold one with the boys???
With the boys*
Do you even crack open a cold one with the boys?
Sandstorm hay hay hay hay..... what if I wanna do it with the lads??
a cold one with the boys*
The lads 😂😂😂😂
PCMR101 alright alight... changed...😂
The car segment looked like Scrapyard Wars.
I'd love to buy one of your really cheap upgrades/restoration projects if shipping overseas wouldn't be so expensive. It would be used for emulation almost exclusively.
good onya have you got a TWIN VGA OUTPUT CARD ?
If that board is one of the Win 9x compatible 775 boards that system is worth closer to $100 usd maybe more as supplies of pentium 3 and athlon xp parts dry up. People are resorting to building or restoring pentium 4 systems so prices of that have gone up. Some 478 boards are going for $50 to $125 again for the first time in more than a decade.
Love all your videos Mate keep up the good work :)
NervousGuy :)
A up to date gaming computer which can max current games, costs about $800-1100. Any more than that is overkill and will not significantly change your upgrade cycle. Any less than that probably has a weak GPU. Monitors can be expensive though and TVs don't tend to work quite right.
A similarly priced laptop will also work well but the upgrade cycle will be shorter.
Reminds me of the Ebay sellers who sell an HP as a "Gaming computer"
1:48 Motherboard : DYING!
1:24 really loved your backyard bro!
You went through all that and just made £5, see this is why I don't even bother selling stuff, once I buy it, its mine forever or until it breaks then its straight to the bin if it can't be repaired. Too much hassle to sell stuff for me.
Why dislike? You're awesome!
This is something I might consider for some of my lesser used machines should I be pressed for cash.
I appreciate you as a creator.
Aw, man... This would have been perfect as a test system that I wanted to build. Hopefully, I'll get to be the lucky buyer the next time you put up your other systems for sale. :)
I have an older computer... Asus P5KPL-VM rocking a Core2 Q8200 + 3gb ddr2 + 2x250gb with GT210 ...what shall be done to it?
How do you know the mb is going to die??
Show us your car ! From the interior looks like an BMW E46 !
Where (in England) do you are?? I am at about 40 mins from London.
Ooooo u can just feel the trading up to a gaming pc series just birthingg
love the background and the vid , gj and keep it up !
this video play in 50fps?! Never seen that before
bro...that yard..on point
I need to get a new processor like the FX 6100 or 6300 to play the releases I want to I'm pairing it with an RX 560 I only have £50-80 what do you recommend
trust and reputation is very important, i think you're very reputable and can be trusted, to sell something, you need to be very patient though...
Glad to know I'm not the only one with an iPhone 5s!
Isn't Gumtree Australian? Aren't you in the UK?
i can see the future you will see that pc again someday!!
I saw it on Gumtree haha. I live very near you it seems. (I say near a 20 mile radius)
you should do more of these!
You should do more of these
please make more budget pc builds
That's actually not that bad considering the mainboard will need some new caps soon (or it will end up dead as a doornail).
Your videos make me sleep...
No, they're not boring. They're great. I'm just tired after a boring day and even more boring night.
If this was Linus on scrapyard wars "Selling this PC for my friend who's going away for college and trying to save as much money as possible for his education".
PS: This should be a series.
Its the first time I heard that someone sells a pc with limited life.
You should sell it telling that motherboard is dead and needs repair and everything else is working fine.
Can you do a how to sell a dell dimension 8200 for good price? $1k min?
Damn RGHD, turn that AC up, you're sweating bullets mate.
Could be an interesting business. Buy various used parts cheap, then assemble some retro PC and sell for profit, could it work?
In the world of business you made industry standard. You made 50% based on 10 Pounds in the system. Of course you wouldn't be able to move enough of these to make a days wage and that's why so many corner store computer stores go under.
Read some 2006 reviews of the GT7600 on New Egg "CS:S and other Games run 100+ fps" "Its an excellent card for gaming and video editing or whatever" , "Extremely fast and powerful. Runs CSS at completely max with 4xAA and 16x filtering with 1280 x 1024 with 100+ fps."
Could someone please tell me what the specs of this computer were. RUclips made me run this at 144p.
Always make buyers come to you.
nice work man i appreciate your videos
I used to have a GeForce 7600GS with a Pentium D 2.8GHz and 2 gb of RAM and it ran pre 2007 games like a wizard with decent fps. I really don't understand how underground runs so badly on your system where I ran it pretty much maxed out at 1152x864 which was the native resolution of my old ViewSonic CRT display.
Is that an E46 BMW 3 Series you drive?
Nice one, but personally it would piss me of that the guy didn't want it. Nice e46 you got there too ;).
Greetings from Germany
Remember to subtract the 20p or so for petrol, unless you did something else on the trip. Also, do you primarily use your i5-4460/GTX 1060 system for video editing and gaming?
