if Lisa is the most distinguished student of the akademia then it's scary how smart she must be considering how the akademia is. Even Diluc points it in his voiceline about her how he believes she has the most potential to do great things out of all knights in Mondstadt

Yup,she's the best in 200 years,and for the library,it was 100 years or 500 years I think,though i'm not sure,if it's true though,then ig mondstadt librarians are much smarter than sumeru scholars lol.

Two things to say. Lisa's Sumeru scholar outfit was something expected as she was a former Akademia scholar before she returned to Monstadt and from what I have heard she suffered some sort of accident during her time as a scholar. Here is hoping that part of Lisa's story gets addressed more vividly.
As for Ayaka's what appears to be a Fontaine style outfit she has implies something along the lines of probably seeing Ayaka traveling overseas to Fontaine eventually which would make sense or someone just made the outfit for her.

Hopefully we'll get more lore related skins soon, Lisa's is really detailed, though I still think it's kinda funny that she's the most distinguished graduate at the academia in 200 years yet decided to sit in the library and drink tea and shock people from time to time.

to be honest , that's the ultimate dream right there , and it goes to show that you can want to learn and even excel at learning as much as you can without wanting a high-ranking position . it also goes to show how absolutely terrifying she is / can be in the future . all in all , i just desperately want at least one little questline with lisa in sumeru .

There was a period in Japanese culture, after they openned the borders and came out of isolation - they were aiming to look very European and were mixing classic Japanese with European looks and it had some specific weird looks. By the lore of Inazuma, it actually fits.
i always point this out for one of the reasons why i love ayatos design so much even if i dont really like his personality. the fact that he wears a weird mix of professional european suit and traditional japanese attire appeals to me so much because japan literally tried imitating europe down to the very aspect of clothing during the age of imperialism, and i love that they reflected that in game.

@@SpikeTheWolf Fontaine is a mix of a couple of european countries but mostly England and of course, it’s biggest inspiration, France (Fontaine means fountain in french) Fontaine is set in the industrial revolution period with Steampunk and possibly some Rococo aesthetics to it

Seeing different characters dressing like they're from different regions adds so much life, it must've been so fun to brainstorm.

I wish you guys made outfits as much as you did for Honkai, because holy crap they're always so good, and people would definitely buy them.
Honkai Outfits are leagues better than genshin ones... it's the same company but the quality standards are so staggeringly different...
Genshin and Honkai art direction is actually different.. Genshin has more minimalist design to make the models not look weird in the open world while the honkai skins are more avant garde and has extra.
Worry not! There's a lot more outfits to come in the future such as kaeya klee and zhongli outfits

As an ayaka main i gotta say i wasnt sure what to think at first but man seeing it in action it looks so beautiful and i love what they did with her hair absolutely gorgeous

I like what they did with the hair but the clothes are pretty boring imo.
Ayaka's outfit is really well-designed. Notice that a lot of the main details and accents are positioned to be seen at their best from behind the character or just off to the side. It looks great from the front, too, but they really put some thought into how the outfit would look to players when they're actively using the character.
The outfit will look good in the back with those big bows. Remember 90% of the time we are looking at the models back.

Personally I'm a big fan of Lisa's vibrant purple and the mushroom hat so the new outfit isn't a direct upgrade, as good as the scholar theme looks, but both are so gorgeous. I can definitely see myself swapping the outfits quite often since she's one of my mains.

@@nekomanz Halloween isn't a thing in Teyvat so I don't know how that will work. When they release the skins, both of them follow a theme according to what's happening ingame. Like for Keqing and Ningguang for the Lantern rite. This time the theme is more like Scholar/studious, so Lisa in her old Akademiya uniform and Ayaka wearing european victorian travelling clothes as she's leaving Inazuma for the first time after the Sakoku decree and wants to learn more about other nations (as we already knew).

Ayaka's travel outfit. It's design is based on the Fontaine dresses depicted in light novel illustrations and seems to reflect the lifestyle of proper ladies who live in that nation.

I have saw many complained because it looked too identical color pallete wise to Ayaka's basic Skin. The same can be said to Diluc's Skin yet no one complain. Sure he is less popular (?) but still nobody seems to be bothered, even His Mains.

I don't know why, but Ayaka's new outfit reminds me a lot of Sophie from Howl's Moving Castle, I think it's a combination between the hat, the white hair, and the color scheme of the dress, even the background in the artwork makes me think of the hat shop from that movie, but then again Kaveh is very obviously inspired by Howl, so maybe that was what they were going for with this outfit
Probably not as popular, but it reminds me of Setsuka from Soul Caliber IV, her 2nd player outfit. Setsuka also happens to be of mixed European and Japanese upbringing.
Now I just wished the hat came forward instead of sitting all the way back.

Can't wait for the Ayaka skin! I love her default outfit (and her ponytail) but having something that is different from her usual style (different region) is great too for variety sake. And the outfit still has that "Ojou-sama" feel to it despite that which suits her as well.

I wasn’t a big fan of Ayaka’s outfit at first but the way they advertised it makes it better. I really like the ribbon on the back and the flowers on her hair
The advertising was the only thing that almost saved it for me, but I feel like it's too all over the place
her clothes are mediocre... Though I do like the new hairstyle. Still wont bother buying it. If I could just buy the Hair style separately with a discount I would, but don't need those clothes.

Ayaka's outfit just screams spring and flowers, very elegant
on a Cryo Character that literally screams WINTER by design ..very fitting , yes ...NO that looks also totally inappropriate for combat as Melee Fighter. They should have chosen an other Inazuma Character for that Meiji theme thing for Skins, like Thoma, Sayu, Sara, even Ayato and Yoimiya would have been better options, cause they Element isnt also counterintuitive to the Dress Theme of being "spring" related, while constantly blasting off ice from all your attacks ....
@@ChristianKessler4185 I think it's great, colors dont matter, Fischl get purple outfit on Summer, and the color really doesn't match for Summer, but their outfits are both very suitable for certain seasons. There are *Details* behind those outfits, Fischl dream becoming The Prinzessin der verurteilung and for Ayaka it's Meiji era, "The Meiji era was the first half of the Empire of Japan, when the Japanese people moved from being an isolated feudal society" same like inazuma being isolated.
@@vinqis the issue isnt the colors here, its the skin theme being put onto a unfitting element. how can you call a character dress spring themed, when everythign the character does screams winter by the element the character uses, its just by design completely incongruent, if you understand what I mean by that.
Would have been Ayaka now instead a Dendro, Anemo, Geo or Hydro Character instead, giving her then there a "Spring" Dress would have been more congruent in regard of the Seasons.
I know the Meiji nostalgia thought behind this decision process, but there are definetely other Inazuma Characters in the game, that would have suited much better to express with a new skin this time period nostalgia.
Like Thoma, which originates from Mondstadt, so he has already by birth a connection to an other culture, than the Inazumans born there, he would have been the perfect culture bridge to express the Meiji Era for the game.
Like Yoimiya, which is representing a cultural festivity that is literally the same both in the east and the west, just festivated at different times in the year, but the activities at that time are the same, fireworks galore. With that connection she could have been the beatiful spring embassador that connec ts the identical cultual activities of both regions through shared fashion from Monstadtst Spring Festival to exchange her more japanese cultured dress to a more western spring themed dress from Mondstadt, as a kind of invitation from Klee , her newest friend in "arms" hehe (BOOM)
This suddenn change of Ayaka feels being connectionless, out of nowhere, not fitting to the situation and just chosen her, because Ayaka is more of an inazuman head figure of the region, than Yoimiya is, or Thoma, but in regard of immersion, it would have been a wiser choice to take not Ayaka for that skin in my honest opinion.
The outfits have motives of fate and cultural difference I love them

I’m a big fan of Diluc, Keqing and Lisa skins. And… I had mixed feelings about Ayaka’s before but this video shows more details and I think it’s cute on her 💜💙 Can’t wait to see it in the game 😊
