Wanted to tell you about our awning.. 2 weeks ago we got a call from our seasonal pitch site! Our Isabella awning had blown right over the top of our nearly new van.. what a mess!!! Carbon pole were shredded and were in mid air!Awning ripped to shreds and dints and damage to caravan.. mostly to the opposite side of van to where awning fits.. even the storm strap stakes were buckled from the power of the wind! As the wind was ONLY 47 mph and not classed as a storm which is 55 mph thankfully the insurance will cover it! Lesson we learned.. don’t put awning up til end May! When hopefully weather will be better!
It’s just the pain of dealing with insurance company and waiting for the dealer to have slot to book in the repair and of course having a seasonal pitch with no van as it takes weeks for repairs to be done!! Looks like we might be in a b&b next bank holiday 😱
Hi both, just wanted to give a massive shout out to Tent Valeting Services who I only found from watching your vlogs. Some of the best service I’ve had from any company. Literally saved me £2600 in buying a new awning as they’ve extended mine to make it fit our caravan. Also got an Addy draught skirt too 😉. All the best, keep the vlogs coming 😎
