- Check out some of the highlights from Savannah Georgia's 2023 Superstar Comic Con. There were a ton of very talented costume creators as well as numerous skilled vendors! I tried to share a little bit of everything as well as some of the costume contest at the end.
Your girl is a bit of a ditz so I ALMOST got kicked out of the comic con within the first 10 minutes of being there, lol! I'm NOT a rule breaker and I swear there weren't any signs saying I couldn't! Oops! lol!

They're always busy! This is considered a small con though, lol. My daughter went to one in Atlanta that had 70,000 tickets and they sold out.

How fun! All those costumes. I love stuff like that. We go to the Renaissance Festival, twice, every year, when it comes to our area. We love it. The costumes range from A to Z. I don't know were they all get their costumes, but they are great. It's a feast for they eyes.
That sounds so fun! I wish we had a renaissance festival locally! I think it's so fun to go to events like this. 😊
We're still pretty country here, I mean, we had a peanut festival with tractor races, that level of country. 🤣

Randolf was definitely my highlight of the day! When we were all walking the long mile out to our cars he was behind us and it was HILARIOUS because his daughter was so embarrassed and saying she wouldn't bring him again. 🤣🤣🤣 I insisted otherwise.

So fun! I took my son to a couple comicons many years ago, and found them to be highly entertaining and creative.
It really was fun and so many creative and talented individuals there!

Lol, I'm totally NOT a rule breaker so it was pretty hilarious to me that I almost got kicked out. 🤣 Once I started chatting and laughing with the 3 bouncers they offered to take a picture with me, it was totally a missed funny opportunity but I was rattled at that point. 😆

Lol, Leave it to me to accidentally cause trouble within ten minutes of walking into the building. 🤦♀️ For someone that tries so hard to follow rules, I sure seem to overlook s lot of them. 🤣
Looks like so much fun! My son would love this. Definitely going to look into going to one when they come up this way. Love the Dalek (Big Dr Who fan) and the fact that you thanked it. 😂
It was a blast! They have comic cons all over the place now! My daughter went to Dragon Con in Atlanta GA, which was absolutely massive, 70,000 people was their cut off and they sold out their tickets, totally packed! She said it was amazing but I can't deny I enjoy these slightly smaller ones. 😆
We love Doctor Who too! My husband has been watching since the the 4th doctor in the 70s! I didn't discover it until the 10th doctor but I rewatched all of the "newer" ones from the movie with the 8th doctor onward. We're definitely a big happy family of geeks here. 😆

Mike didn't wear a costume but my daughter's friend ended up wearing mine, lol. It all worked out because I didn't lose as much weight as I had hoped to anyway. I'll explain better in my next video. I just haven't had time to edit it yet.

OMG! I love geek conventions of any sort! Your daughter’s cos play costumes were amazing! Many years ago I met Jonathan Frakes at a Trek convention. Who’s your favorite Star Trek actor? Loved this video!
It was a blast! My family enjoys science fiction and fantasy but it was really my daughter that got us into going to these conventions. Who would have thought they would be so fun! I don't know that I actually have a favorite but I always liked Jonathan Frakes because when I watched as a kid, he looked just like my Dad, LOL! Now that he's older, he STILL looks like my Dad! It's like they aged the same, haha! My Dad said he would dress up in a Star Trek uniform for me, so I can pretend to take a picture with him.
Your dad is a hoot! I’m glad everyone had fun. My family love SciFi and fantasy too! My local grandkids come over on Sundays to play D & D. Three generations of geeks, I couldn’t be prouder!

It was fun! Mike left me to go use the restroom and that's when it happened. 🤣 He literally can't leave me alone. ONLY ME! Hahaha! Once they realized I wasn't crazy, the bouncers were super friendly and even offered to take a picture with me but I was too nervous at that point, lol! It was a total missed opportunity for a funny moment for me. 🤣
I was actually the person talking to Frakes while you were recording (I was dressed as Deanna so all you could see is the back of my wig). Sorry you didn’t get a chance to meet him!
That's awesome! I'm glad you were able to meet him! I'm definitely never going to forget to bring cash to a comic con ever again! (Or aim my camera in the direction of any of the guests for that matter, lol!) 🤣

I'll explain what happened to my outfit better in my next video. My daughter went both days and her friend ended up wearing it. They wore different costumes each time but they like to match with characters that go together. 😅 lol, I basically got replaced. Haha! I didn't lose as much weight as I had hoped to anyway.

It was understandable since they were charging for people to take pictures with him but it would have been nice if there were a sign somewhere for space cadets like myself, haha!

also its the request of the special guest that ask for no pics or vids is why there is no signage , same with the panels for them.. but it is afterall a source of income for them.. and thanks for making the vid, even tho I was there, I didnt get to do much ! great vid

It was fun! I will explain it better in my weight loss follow up video on Wednesday but I didn't end up dressing up so that my daughter's friend could wear it.

it's not ok that anyone would confiscate your camera or phone just because you tried to get a clip recorded, that is insane control issues and all for money
It seemed pretty extreme to me considering there weren't any signs for people to know that it wasn't allowed. They treated me with kindness though.

Lol! You're the best, Chuck! My Dad looks just like Frakes which is why I wanted to get a picture with him so bad. When I was a kid watching the show he looked like him and now that he's older, he aged the same too. 🤣My Dad said he'd put on a Star Trek outfit and take a picture with me instead. 🤣🤣🤣
