Many people lost their birds by forgetting to close a window.. so i decided to train my cockatiels for free flight outside of the house and to use the windows to fly in and out :)
Thanks for watching! subscribe!
My nightmare has always been that my cockatiels will one day fly out a window and never find their way home. I honestly wake up in cold sweat at night from dreaming about it. Its so cool how youve thaught them to fly back like this! I would never be brave enough to teach my birds that but it also looks so wonderful for them to fly outside and to come back
I have a cockatiel too flew out and never get down even i kept calling him 😢 I already teaches him to sung and say peekaboo
I had another one but she’s not easily learning
@@aurearamos5388 out of everything that's unique u could've teached it had to be the generic peekaboo, didn't it?
@@VinnyUnion Jimmy chill
it's cute you don't have to do something unique to have fun. It's pretty normal to want a good life. But if you want to be unique you might want a bad life
@@tweetthechicken3870 what kind of a crappy statement is that. A generic life equals to a good life to you and a unique life can equal to a bad life? Crazy. Headless chicken.
Let me tell you one thing, there's only one life, might as well make it count instead of replicating things, no? Jesus Chrizzler.

Aww
My bird never gone outside cause we know how this would happen

I did same to my first budgie when i was kid. After opening my hand outside window she flyed straight back into house at speed of light lol. They really dont need to go outside if you open the cage enough and they are happy. I bought a very big cage for my new budgies and they dont even leave it most of the time even if i open the cage. And when they do they just hand around at top of the cage
so well-trained!
angry quacker thank you!

TielZone , supercoolest... made me laugh and smile. Good birbs! Thank you....
@@TielZone Can you tell me how did you trained them? I have a cockatiel too and I want to train him like you!
Please remember that these birds are *trained* and have a very good bond with the owner. Do not take your bird(s) outside or give them access to the outdoors unless they are free flight trained and you are completely sure they won't fly away. Birds can panic when flying outside for the first time and fly away, even if they don't want to leave you, they won't be able to come back.
And seriously, don't clip their wings to avoid this, they can still fly away, they are just more vulnerable because they can't maintain flight. It's also simply cruel. They are made to fly, everything about them is perfect for them to fly. Clipping their wings is not the answer and it's just a cruel way to trap a bird. If you really think they'll fly away at the first chance they get, check yourself and build trust.
Please be careful with your feathered friends
I dont think my heart would be able to take this lol... My birds have gotten outside the house a few times during summer over the years, and I think i loose a few years on my life each time. I'm so thankful that they always come back to me. You really don't realize how small they are until you see them 6 meters up in a tree
Take me
@sassyfrass I especially would be worried for my cockatiel most of the time it would probably be too cold for her to be happy there are too many Hawks and I think she would expect me to find her and not the other way around
"Hi hooman, we are back from our adventures"
:)
Your cockatiels are so cute!
yes they are very nice :) thank you!
Yes
All look same 😂😂
TielZone mine died :(
@@gustavoreis2797 :(( aww.
My cockatiel is the most precious thing in my life. Never have I seen such a loving, intelligent animal like her.❤️
they're adorable, please take a great care of them:( (not that u don't do it already, you're amazingg)
dolly I don't know how they train em like that! Cool!
he already is, he spends hours outside with them when they are first introduced to being outside .. It's a ton of time to do what he does, plus you do need an aviary to help the birds come home.. cockatiels are naturally nomadic in the wild and don't have a sense of direction like other parrots
That must REALLY help reduce the amount of bird droppings in the house.
Lol
Sure does
That is amazing because these birds are the fastest flyers in the world. I lost mine, out the garage door and he flew straight up and gone. I loved that bird---he had the flight of the house but one mistake and I lost my friend. Few people know how wonderful these little creatures are...what a Godly creation.
They aren't that fast-
Sorry to hear about your loss. I can’t stand the thought of losing mine. Hopefully your little feathered friend found his own little flock to be with.
@@futurefreefliers5861 43 miles
Cockatiels are super fast flyers, perhaps the fastest in Australia. They can fly up to 43 miles (70 kilometers) per hour! Cockatiels are rarely found alone. Flocks from ten to several hundreds of birds can be seen flying long distances for food and water.
@@mikejohn0088 damn! Mine are just some lazy house chickens hahahaha
POV: the cockatiels are paid actors
POV: you’re a paid actor
Remember that even if your birds are perfectly tamed you should never do this. I lost my budgie after a bigger bird chased him away while outside and he never came back. Stay careful x
I literally have nightmares about out tiel getting out the door and flying away, but videos like these are somehow calming. Like it starts the same but I know everything will be okay
You have so much trust in your birds, i will never ever do this because i’m afraid of losing them and there are a lot of big birds outside that can snatch them anytime
Aren't you worried that a hawk or falcon might get them? I would love to do that in New Jersey (USA). When I was younger, I raised racing pigeons, and you would lose about 5-10 a year to hawks, and pigeons can fly 60 mph....
Yeah even the biggest proponents of free flying would strongly advise against free flying small parrots. Most small parrots aren't as good at predator evasion as larger ones are either.
Free flight training on a fight leash and a harnass is a good idea. Outside the home in various weather conditions. That way, were they to get out, they can navigate back in even during wind or rain. But generally, this is a pretty bad idea yeah. And it's not just raptors that are a problem. Rats, ferrets, etc can pose a real problem to birds that haven't learned predator evasion skills.
I mean, yeah. Technically, any parrot can be taught to free fly outside. My little parrotlet can learn pretty much anything. But it's not responsible to teach them everything. This is really just testing the odds.
Rune Børsjø shut up dumbass,
You obviously no nothing about training birds.
Not everywhere has hundreds of birds of prey flying around their neighbourhood
It dosent look like america so I don't think there's anything like that in all honestly it looks like the UK ( but I could be wrong) the UK dosent have large birds of prey they only have kites
No, the UK has hawks, buzzards and eagles as well.
Im happy someone said somthing about this
Simply amazing. My cockatiel freaks out at any shadow or crow passing by our window.
I have a clipped Yellow Nape Amazon (Cricket) who is GORGEOUS very big (not overweight just the biggest amazon you've probably ever seen! He loves being outside and I for years we've gone to the big local park about 15 blocks from my home (I live in NYC in Queens). Unfortunately the last time I took him to the park a Red Tail Hawk divebombed us, and would not let us alone, staying in a nearby tree waiting for another chance to snag my best bird buddy. Lucking he didn't get my baby, but it was CLOSE. I learned a lesson and it didn't end badly for Cricket. A very nice person came running over with a beach towel and another with an umbrella to shield him, and I took him home. I'm wheelchair bound but that was the fastest trip home ever. The people who helped wanted to take me home but weren't able to because we couldn't transport my power chair. The did follow me home for support. There are good people around! Unfortunately, no more trips to the park, but I do have a back yard, and this summer I'm going to get a little screen tent so both of my birdies can enjoy the outside safely.
One day when I grow up
I will see my mother’s flipper coming at my face from asia to america because I bought a pet
Lmao
Felt 😂
So sweet. Amazing how you have trained them to not fly away. Be careful of predators (just a reminder) I love bird videos. I can’t believe I haven’t found you and your birdies until now. You have earned my sub!!!!
Thank you, honored by the sub!
Your cockatiels are soooo soooo cute like just look at them and soo well trained too
I’m so jealous. Firstly, as I’ve mentioned in other videos, your tiels are beautiful and just ridiculously cute, I love their “happy tiel chirps” and it’s just clear the way the birds act around you that you have a really good relationship with them, and lastly, the view you have is tremendous! You AND your tiels get to enjoy it!
Oh my God........they're ......soooooo...adorable....I mean.."yuhooo"...n then they appear....that's like a magician😍😍...well anyway..the way these fluffiest little birdies look into the camera😍that's real cute😋😊
I tried with my fish, he isn't moving at the grass anymore, is this normal?
Idk... I guess it is
yes.
cocky's make excellent lifetime companions and they are too cute ;3
You know they love you if they don't fly away for good!!
My cockatiel: *flew to the wrong room when they wanted to fly over to me*
My roommates once had a cockatiel that hated to fly. She was so terrified of doing it, but I once got her to fly onto my shoulder, so there's that lol
Too many Hawks and owls in my neighborhood in Lewiston, Idaho to do that. One of our cockatiels is a found bird that was so happy to be off the streets that he doesn't want to go near doors and windows.
Aww I love that they have this kind of freedom. You love them very much ❤
We once saw a cockatiel talking to our cockatiel that liked being outside in his cage, I was in america so it was impossible for it to be wild unless someone lost theirs, it was in summer, so I feel sorry for who ever lost theirs, or it just breed some how
Love this very much!!they can be free whenever they want and still come back to you!!
They are adorable.. I think what you did is very wise. Our birds love to fly.. What you have taught them will help them if they get locked out by accident... This way they won't be frightened and can take care of themselves for awhile.
My tiel ming has unfortunatly gotten out 5 times never staryed for more than a half a block at the farthest, the last time didnt end well, sad to say only got too enjoy him for 5 very very good years, very smart sweet funny playful affectionate breed the tiel & a little show off love these breed of birds cool video♥️🙏

WoW, one of the best ever seen for free pet birds. They are totally free even in deciding to stay near to your home.
I'm sad because I lost my bird because it accedintly went out the window I realized this after it went so far.

That is awesome. What a happy life for them. I hope they are safe from hawks and other predators.

Very clever birds :-).

I love that you can let your birds do this. Mine flew away.
Love your vidéo , i had doves when i was a kid they where always free outside in winter they came back in the house.
Your birds are amazing.
My neighborhood's red-tailed hawks would be a constant worry.
I love this channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️💜💜
Our bird got out through an open door i got on my bike and road as fast as I could to follow him. He flew to several trees and then stopped in one. My dad waited under the tree and we got a bell from home he would recognize. My dad rang the bell on occasion for hours and eventually he came down.
Got quite the adventure the little bugger
You're a very good parrot parent.
Wauw best living space ever for them.
awww
Damn, my cockatiel won’t even come to me unless I have food for him XD
It's realy amazingggggggg..... Can't believe 😍😍😍
I once had a parakeet named Sam. When I said to him, "C'mere, Sam! C'mere, boy," he'd fly right to my shoulder.
MidnightWonko what happened to Sam?
@@skelaton7242 I'm also interested. Tell us more about Sam.
Maravillosos. Felicidades por poder tener el placer de sentirlas libres
Omg that's like a dream to me!
Well trained 👏👏👏
Had my cockatiel fly for 10 seconds outside and eagles caught him but he survived cz he fought for his life and escaped.
My man true warrior
Really amazing 😍😍😍😍
I hope it's in australia or elsewhere in oceania, cause everywhere else cockatiels become easy hawk food
Looks more like Romania than Australia to me
The reason i dont want my bird to free fly is because she cant protect herself against crows or magpies
My bird went missing on monday and got attacked by a magpie. A pet organization found her, but she wouldnt eat and died on sunday. Never let ur birb fly free
@@Hekza0024 when i take her for walks i get swooped by butcher birds too.
