    Since many questions are about how I train my birds, here's the video I made about that.
    ruclips.net/video/otkRhLiK-CY/видео.html
    But it works for me and I don't think you should attempt it. I do it with the babies that hatch in my breeding while I hand feed them, and I live in an appropriate area.
    Enjoy and subscribe! 😁🐔

      I think most birds would love to take a fly and then return to their owner, the problem is that if they never flew outside they get overstimulated when they are high in the sky, then they panic and freak out.. so they are not able to return even if they want to.

And one day my parents carried the cage outside to do some painting inside when suddenly the cage door fell open and one of my budgies flew away. I was so heartbroken and cried all day. 😢 I wish I could have done this.

    • @TielZone
      @TielZone  6 лет назад +15

      At first I recalled them and when they casually returned I rewarded with tasty food and scratches :) in very few time they realize the cause effect and the response time decreases drastically. I use a whistle cos it reaches farther and makes always the same sound. It took some weeks to let them learn the whole area around the house, starting before they had learned to fly.. basically they grew outside.

    • @doctorMelodySong
      @doctorMelodySong 6 лет назад +3

      it really depends on the birds. you dont necessarily have to raise them from chicks, but some birds just won't do it. it always requires a lot of time and patience and research though, and only taking them outside when you're 100% sure they know the drill. birdtricks.com has some really good tutorials and tips for flight training, they go on vacation with their birds all the time just so they can give them the chance to fly around in all kinds of places

    • @mikejohn0088

      NO. They are the fastest flying birds on the planet and MOST times once they taste freedom it scares them and they just keep flying until exhausted...a long way from where they started. I know, I went thru it and lost my beautiful friend (an accidental escape).

      i think the one on the right is younger, doesn't look like she has all her crest feathers in yet.

      The one on the left is an adult, and the smaller one is a baby. Notice the yellow & white face and the orange cheek patches are not fully developed.

    Its too risky for them. A wild bird or even a cat can catch them.

      Well pet birds or domestic birds generally cant fly long distances and needs to stay on top of something. Also it doesnt means cats will catch them jumping at 20m high. It can happen everywhere everytime. They can even catch your bird while sitting on your hand. You never know.

    Studies show that the floofiness level of a bird is directly related to their adorableness
