I played Rev iMother, way back in the late 90's, in a community theatre production, of Nunsense. It was an amazing success. When I look back at that script, and those songs, I find it hard to believe we got through it!! The show was difficult, to say the least. However, we had a group of actresses that were TRUE sisters, and still stay in touch! We were able to do Nunsense, the Second Coming, and the Nunsense Christmas Show, with the same cast!!! It was the Best of Times!!

She really did. Sadly I don't think she was nominated for it 😢 I think she should have been nominated for way more awards than she ever was. She never quite did get the recognition she truly deserved
My cousin Whitney played Robert Anne back in 2008; I'm following her footsteps and auditioning for a production of this musical in August! I'm so excited because this musical brings back so much nostalgia for me; I remember watching the one with Rue all the time when I was little!
I played Sr. Robert Anne in my HS production, Sr. Amnesia in college, and was due to play the Reverend Morher last year, but I had a stroke and had to decline the role.

This is the best version of Nunsense I ever saw. Rue McClanahan deserves an award for her performance as Rev. Mother Bravo Rue.
