  • Conversion of your credits units to ECTS is required when you are applying for graduate programs in European Universities, and your first degree was obtained from a university outside Europe.
    In this video, I demonstrated how you can calculate the equivalent ECTS of your credits from your first degree. You can also use the German Grade Calculator on this website for the conversion.

    What about DLI (distance leaning institute) students that don't do semesters but sessions. e.g I did DLI in unilag and we received lectures once in a week. 8;30am-6pm. Which is 10 hours a week. So 10 hours in a week multiple by 52 weeks. (10*52=500) how do I calculate it .
    Note that its a 5 years program so its 260 weeks in 5 years.
    There 10* 260= 2600 hours in those 5 years.
    Thats a whole lot.
    How do I calculate it then.
    Please note for the entire 5 years program we did a total of 37 ( 3 unit course) and 5 (2 unit course)

    Please I did a 6 years programme and I am applying for the Neurasmus programme.
    My total course load was 270 units. Please do I need to convert my units course by course or should I just convert the 270 unit to ECTS Credit to submit to Neurasmus.

    • @scholarslamp
      @scholarslamp  8 месяцев назад

      Hi, I'd say you should check the instructions and guidelines given by Neurasmus. Most times, they want you to calculate the ECTS obtained in one course/module at other times, it might be for the whole 4/5/6 years programme. So, use the guidelines given.

    How can you do the same for masters credit loads

      I haven't done this for master's credit loads before, but a similar principle may hold.

    Hello, thank you for the vid ❤, how do I calculate for internship? Because the hours are many when I calculate it around 10.7, is that okay?

    • @scholarslamp
      @scholarslamp  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, if that's what you obtained with your calculations, it's fine. However, you might want to check if there's a module ECTS requirements or if the whole time duration is to be lumped together.

    • @Zarry4Life

      @@scholarslamp it's actually both

      @@scholarslamp Hello, thank you for the support. My concern is what if I'm required to write both the total ECTS and the ECTS for each course unit, do I add up the ECTS to get the total, and ignore the formula of multiplying credit units by 1.5?

    Good evening sir. I am an HND degree holder, please I would like to know how to calculate for a polytechnic graduate. You know polytechnic has both ND and HND is it possible to calculate both as the number of years spent in school?
    Please I will like to contact you directly.

      Hi. First, you need to understand the program's requirements for the admission. Are they expecting yearly ECTS or based on some particular courses. This should help you to handle the calculation

    Please, i need some clarification, in the video, we made use of just 2 and 3 units. What happens to the 1, 3 & 4 units? Or did you just use the 2 n 3 as an example?

    • @scholarslamp
      @scholarslamp  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, those were examples, you can modify the num of units accordingly

    Hi Abraham
    I hope you’re good.
    Thanks a lot for this informative video .
    Do you have FB or instagram? I want to ask how to calculate the ratio of the total volume of one course. I have searched on RUclips and google with no luck.
    Thanks

      Hi, I am not sure what you mean by "total volume of a course" perhaps, you can give more details, if the answer is still needed. Apologies for my late response
