It was changed shortly after this video was posted. The update make freeze have diminishing returns. There's definitely much more consistent and viable onslaught setups you can use.
@@harambedd2 Thanks for the quick answer. I was looking for a build to do AP 50-75 and found your Shattering Geyser Reset Build but felt it to be inconsistent when I tried it so I wondered if it was changed. Then I'll continue looking for another setup they hopefully havent changed yet ^^
I would assume not as the mobs will need to action target the squire to take increased damage. Which would mean you'd have to actively be using the squire to tank a lane. I'm sure there's a time and a place for it, but most of the META builds are aims toward maximizing DPS instead of tanking in a lane.
I do not, mainly because they're pretty obsolete and only there for utility. My SGT relic is basically a random relic I pick up, but the shards are rate, destruction and deadly strikes. For the FSA, it stays campaign level, but has lingering frostfire, controller and diverse crit chance, the protons just have poison on one and earth on the other for petrify with defense rate shard gilded.
Yes. I've done climbs to 999 with all 3 setups. Diverse, anti and hybrid. It's all about the way you build. They'll all use the exact same setup as well. The only thing a diverse build would use instead of the other two, is reflect for earth damage instead of an earth proton. That's the only difference between the setups :).
@@sevke1053 yeah I think it was because people knew how easy it was too build and how good it was for everything that wasn't endgame. Since then there have been hundreds of people to hit 999. So maybe people started realizing the monk isn't as good as we once thought :). But he still can hit rather high with his nuke.
Questions: what's hard about 900+ onslaught floors? And won't they become trivial once Chaos 10 comes out? Because the new power could overwhelm the lanes. I asked those questions because I wanted to really test my defense in an area of the game that I would find challenging but the only thing that could be challenging currently in the game is super high onslaught floors and I just don't feel like slugging through the floors (that I know I can do) to get to a point where my defenses are struggling. I was hoping that with the release of Chaos 10, they would give us another floor skip (they won't sadly) so I could immediately jump to floor 700, so the journey wouldn't be as sluggish, but now I'm doubting the difficulty of super high onslaught floors altogether because of Chaos 10's power boost and the effects it could have on the only place in the game that I have yet to reach, that's why I'm starting to question if I should even bother with onslaught at this point (by the time I get to where I think it should be challenging, I'm probably gonna steam roll it because of how much power Chaos 10 has granted me, unless I'm wrong). Summary: Chaos 10 has me doubting the difficulty of high level onslaught floors going forward, making me wonder if I should even bother with high level onslaught now, instead of just doing Chaos 10 expeditions and waiting to see if Chaos 11 (this will definitely trivialize floors) will be a thing. I could still be wrong because I still don't know what the difficulty of high level onslaught floors actually are (besides RNG and massive health bars), that's where you, The Grand Prix of Onslaught come in to put a rest to my doubts, if you'd be so kind?
@@randomness1456 So, c10 will be really difficult because of the new enemies. There will be a few changes to defenses that will help with the power creep a bit. Changes such as removing destruction and mass destruction stacking. This will greatly nerf a lot of defenses that use them both and force us to choose shards like vamp over destruction. But with that being said yes c10 will bring us a ton more damage. All % based shards will technically get a buff due to it being a % of a higher number and all stagnant mods like Healthy power will end up being "weaker". Also there will be a lot of other new content that will change the meta around a bit. I can assure you they are trying to balance it as best as they can. UNFORTUNATELY though, with every update floor 946+ will become easier and easier. It's still definitely a challenge as only two players have beat temple solo in recent weeks and they've said it's definitely not recommended as it's EXTREMELY tough if you aren't perfect in every way. We'll have to wait and see what all the balances will turn out to be. TLDR: I HIGHLY recommend at least trying end game. It will still be the most difficult part of the game and still the best place to test out builds for the best stress test.
@@harambedd2 they've removed destruction stacking!? I completely missed that, that would mean that Gilded Defense Rate Shards are looking pretty tasty now right? It still sucks that I have to do all of the floors to get to endgame onslaught, since we won't be getting a skip.
@@randomness1456 they haven't announced it yet, but yes it will be happening. Most likely we'll see power transfer come back into the META as well. So it's looking like Mass Destruction, power transfer and whatever the 3rd shard will be. Either defense rate, tower specific shard (encroaching flames, double tap, fire for effect ETC ETC). This hasn't gone into effect yet, but it soon will be.
I personally don't like using fissures for resets so not quite sure exactly what is used, but i'd assume it's along the lines of the same set up as the c9 meta. This includes 3 fissures, oil geyser, boost aura and then a reflect for cyborgs. The fissures will have defense rate, anti melee and embermount flames with the shards being mass destruction, defense rate (for overcaps to cover frosties) and destruction. This can change on the next update as mass destruction and destruction will be changed with the way they stack.
Positive mutators are anything that'll buff your setup. Negative mutators are anything that'll negatively affect it and neutral is everything that has no effect on your setup. Here's a list for geysers under floor 946. Positive: Maximum effort, phased, pile it on, armored, berserked, reckless, proximity. Neutral: unstoppable, controlled burn, toxi kazi, vampiric, abominable, lethargic, wall leach, enraged, detonator, power block Negative: headstrong, longshot, soft spot, brittle, spellbreaker, cursi-kazi, bullet sponge, bloodlust, troll blood, speed demon.

@tobiasweber8567 feel free to try out nimbus or pufferfish. They're really consistent still even after the rebalances and bug fixes

Hey, thanks for the vids! Do you know if the "Fight Me Not" shard works? I never see any builds using it.

What is the best dps hero right now?
Each hero is situationally good. But as far as the most relied on for end game content, it's gunwitch and barbarian / mercenary.

also the incursions to get automation are on the easier side
i was using geyser and frosty still freezes xD, i just no goblin with speed mutator xD they so fast
